No, not chocolate chip ones you greedy fucks I was on Easyjet.com yesterday looking at flights to two or three destinations that I was gonna book as a surprise trip. Low and behold, when I was browsing the web earlier I had an Easyjet add come up with the text "Still looking for flights to...." and then proceeded to relay the destinations I'd searched the day before ! No biggy perhaps, but if the missus had been using this laptop at the time, she'd have seen exactly where I was thinking of going. If I wanna stop these types of history-related ads popping up, do I just disable cookies? Or is there summat else I have to do? Thing is, it's quite handy sometimes so I'm a bit stumped.

I use Safari as a browser - on there you go into "preferences": and tick "from 3rd parties & advertisers" - "always" - "never". It doesn't work completely but it's not bad.

Disable cookies although, most sites will ask if you accept cookies these days. You can clear your cookies in your browser settings if you need to. I'd suggest clearing the cache too every now and again. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Go into your add-ons and search for a program called adblock plus, enable it and bingo, no more ads, it works a treat for me. |

If you use Google's Chrome browser, you can use 'incognito' mode and look at all the filth you want. No evidence is recorded, i.e cookies, on your PC. So I have been told, of course.
