It does look like a bit of a desperation signing though and I can't believe for one minute that he was one of the names at the top of Sheridan's list.

You can almost certainly confine any reference of us having a big budget in this league to the bin now. How much do you think a third from bottom of Division 4 reject striker/winger costs these days?

I texted someone who might know Jock - If he were negotiating a new contract now then somewhere in the region of £500-£800 per week. It is possible given his background that any current contract was higher than that as he was recently a Premiership squad player and Bury were in league one.

I reckon FV (who have broken up more times than durran durran) will sing its a long way to topiary. Even thought this "striker" has only scored 4 goals in his whole career

It's likely he's a product of the famous academy system in this country. Signed as a 13 year old lad, bigger and faster and stronger than his peers although unable to kick a football. Bolton try and train that into him but fail. Bolton release him but he has that club on his cv. Ooooooh, Bolton. He must have something about him. Yes, he does (or did) - he was the fastest and biggest kid in his year at school 9 years ago but that's it. He's worth a punt though... no he isn't! Jeeeeeeeeesus. Bury don't even seem to care if he gets cup tied.
