| Anybody going? I'm thinking about it as I've been offered VIP tickets (£25) by a mate in Lincoln. I might be able to get a few more if anyone is interested? The one catch is you'll have to watch the game. You get food for that also and access to the VIP area whatever that means.

| Oddly enough the first game I attended at Home Park was Lincoln City in 1956, Argyle won 1 - 0 and went on to avoid relegation by the skin of their teeth. Sound familiar? |

A home win. Nope, that doesn't sound familiar at all |

| I should be going, but I'm not really interested in any VIP nonsense. I like to stand amongst the 'REAL' fans. |

| I just saw £25 including food. It doesn't hurt once in a while. |

I'm a picky eater though . Have a good time anyway. If the food is free, remember to take a doggy bag with you so you can take some home - might as well get your money's worth! |

| I went to Lincoln in our Div 3 (L2) championship winning season. We won 1-0. What I remember most was the togetherness of the players, board and fans that day. We weren't mathematically promoted after that win but the celebrations at the end - when the players, Luggy, all the board came over to the fans - were brilliant. When I think of how great it was following Argyle then to the miserable shit it is now. |

That is certainly a vivid memory for me too. Those celebrations were unexpected, but brilliant as you say. Seeing Larrieu swinging from the cross-bar was a particular highlight. No doubt Lincoln will fancy their chances in the cup, and they probably should. Don't know if I could handle three straight years of losing to non-league opposition. |

My boy and his mates who were with us were about 12 and all ran down the front twirling their shirts over their heads when the third went in, mentalists, he still doesn't feel the cold.

| Have a good one Chingers. Once upon a time I used to love it when Argyle got drawn away to non-league teams in the FA Cup. Had some epic weekenders tied in to trips to Dorking, Slough and a few others. |

| Only time i ever went to Lincoln was in the early '80's and it was a riot-literally.Lincoln were in the running for promotion and their chairman,a gentleman called Gilbert Blades, had refused to allow the manager [Colin Murphy?] money to bring in a couple of players to sustain the challenge. There were "BLADES OUT" banners plastered all around the ground and non stop chanting of the same message throughout the game, and the mood was definitely not improved when Argyle came from behind to win with a couple of late goals.Very nasty after the game, all sorts of objects thrown at the directors box, mounted police in action etc.Fortunately the few Argyle fans there didn't get too much grief [their fans were too busy giving it beans outside the club offices] but i think the Argyle team had to have a pretty heavy escort away from the stadium afterwards.Quite an afternoon. |
