Glad to see we're 'going for it'.
What's so very sad, is that we are so shit, he actually will improve our side.
I just hope Webby and Ian know what they're doing, sanctioning signings like this.....
FFS! I thought he was a bone idle donkey, could be worse though, I think!
Is Fred Binney still about? He signs tomorrow. Like your Avatar lol |

| Just seen this on PASOTI guys and its not pretty Stockport fan here, sorry to see the position you find yourselves in as it is painfully reminiscent of our fall from grace. Just to give you the low down on our thoughts on Chadwick, I saw someone highlighted an article which stated that County fans would rejoice at the news, but it seemed to be ignored. Unfortunately it is true, I don't think there is one Stockport fan who is sad to see him go and that is no exaggeration. Most can't believe we've managed to offload him, let alone to a league side. I've seen many of you clinging to the fact he has scored 7 goals but they don't really tell the full picture, 3 were shots that ricocheted off him and one was a penalty. The other 3 were fairly decent headers if I recall correctly, but he has been woeful with any opportunities that have fallen to his feet. I've lost count of the number of shots he has missed when it would have been easier to score, one of the most frustrating strikers we've ever had. He tries hard, but all season has been miles off the pace. I would suggest that his legs have gone and think he has moved in the wrong direction to find his level. On top of all of that, he has responded to some sections of the crowd giving him some abuse by telling people to "F off" which hasn't gone down well with some. Although he has been our top scorer, mainly due to Didi playing him ahead of IMO better strikers, he has never done anything to suggest he will be a prolific goalscorer at any level, he's slow which some interpret as lazy and then hasn't done much to endear himself to the fans. It's not my intention to put a downer on things, just helping manage expectation. If he is the man you're pinning hopes on to turn your season then I really feel sorry for you. It's oh so reminiscent of last season for us, keep looking at games thinking we'll pick up points, surely we can't go out of the league. Unfortunately for us the games ran out and we find ourselves where we are now, it really isn't as bad as it will feel come the end of this season if you do not survive, but I wouldn't wish that feeling on anyone. For us now there is a real renewed sense of optimism with the appointment of Jim Gannon, a fresh start hopefully and maybe that would do you good too if you don't survive. |

For anyone expecting Chadwick to hit the back of the net...
Chadwick couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat!

| We all know he's uber shit from last time. Even back then he was a non-scoring immobile lump bereft of any skill whatsoever. Chadders has none of the attributes normally asscociated with a striker. Or even a footballer. It's a terrifying thought that our current 'strikers' are so incredibly and unbelievably shit that even the ginga ninja is seen as an improvement. Northampton must be shitting themselves |

Purse too is the commanding leader we desperately need. I hope he growls at Walton 'til he hands over the armband.
Dunno about Hemmings, more experienced than the kids we've got and by 'eck do they need a rest. You don't play kids as often as we've managed to burn out ours, it's self defeating eventually. You play them in short bursts then drop them, we've not had that luxury. Even if Hemmings is just another kid we can rotate then he's worth having on board.
Let's face it we're absolutely shit, we become less shit by signing better players than we've already got. These signings and Blanchard/Sutherland too are the foundations of the rebuilding process, you don't sack the foreman at the foundation stage so well done Fletch for getting people in and more power to your elbow in shaping them into a team.
Onwards and upwards.
How do you know what I've been thinking!? You haven't been thinking, i've been implanting thoughts into your brain while you sleep via a bluetooth device in your lampshade. Why do you ask?. |

Still a shit player but well done on the goal Nick Well,he certainly didn't look a shit player today, and thats coming from someone who was far from convinced about the wisdom of his return.Led the line superbly, won loads in the air and brought others into the game in general play,a complete centre forwards performance.Agree with the one swallow comment [in a different context,of course] but if he can maintain that form,he will be a major asset for the rest of the season-he seemed to relish being back at HP,maybe the move will restart his career, lets hope so.Purse made a huge difference with his presence and stature at the back,i was surprised at how good his distribution was.The lad from Wolves looked good, plenty of pace and trickery and a well taken goal, the French guy seemed to form a good partnership with Purse as the second centre half. The only slight downer for me was that Argyle lost the second half yet again, although Northampton didn't really look like scoring until Argyle made some substitutions late in the game.I've seen too many stellar debut performances to get carried away with this and its difficult to say how bad Northampton were, but credit where its due,a great first half performance and things look a bit brighter than they did earlier this week. |

Northampton are shit tbh its hard to base an opinion of Chadwick proving people wrong against them. he has to prove he isnt a flash in the pan now and is over the next few games. glad he had a good game of course but i wont be popping champagne and bowing at his feet just yet remember Cherno Samba?? |

| Yes,i do remember Cherno Samba.I also remember Calvin Plummer,Tommy English,Greg Campbell and loads of other players over the years who have started brightly but have been unable to maintain any semblance of their early form.I won't be popping champagne either,i was just stating as an honest opinion, based on what my eyes saw, that Chadders had a fecking good game today. |

Very encouraging result. The new players have clearly lifted spirits and provided some much needed belief and desire. Northampton appear to be in freefall and another couple of decent players should see us climb away from the rest of the dross in this league. |

I think the new players definitely had an effect on the young players in the team,as an experienced reference point to look to.Hourihane played well,as did Berry, and Atkinson looked so much better with some decent service.I don't know if Feeney was injured today but he must have looked on rather enviously at the improved distribution from the back and the crosses coming into the box, after feeding on scraps for the better part of the season. As you say,if we can keep in touch until January and then sign a couple more decent players, than there should be a good chance of getting out of trouble. |
