| After a couple of seasons of following southern hemisphere Super XV rugby I'm just about there with where the teams come from. Only occasionally are the cities where the franchises are based mentioned or tagged on to their monikers. I know I can still ask chums who've followed it longer than me which city the Chiefs, Hurricanes, Brumbies, Cheetahs etc are based and receive a blank look in return. They can probably manage the country at best.
Hull are in early on the next phase of globalisation, although the ultimate I suppose is United which worldwide now only means one team. Be an interesting game to see what original handles can be attached to other teams. |
