£311.54 a disagrace !

Apparently the whip round on the freebie trip to southend raised £311.54 for st lukes  

Am I alone in thinking the for 200 people enjoying a free trip to not be able to average a pound fifty each is disgraceful ?

It does appear measely but surely it's between an individual and their own conscience. I'm surmising that some who made the trip couldn't have afforded to if it wasn't free. The only thing I would say is the travellers should take a look at how much they sent on non essentials like booze (though some might say thats an essential pre requisite for watching Argyle) and smoke bombs compared to what they gave. It's all relative.

Perhaps those using the coaches (I'm not saying all) did so because they don't have much spare money and were only able to go on the trip thanks to the free coaches. The charity is now £311.54 better off not worse off!!!!
There is so much to pay out for these days (I know, I'm a parent) and I can't afford to go to watch Argyle (even in Southend which is only 50 miles away) but having free travel I could have stretched to it. To then stick a tenner in the charity pot would have been just silly. You give what you can afford!

The buses are still running don`t use them myself.
