According to Shez at the ST talk tonight Argyle have a French midfielder on trial (aged 20 and 6 ft tall). He was apparently one of the stand out players at Luggy's Liskeard trial game yesterday.

He palyed for Caen in the Franch 2nd Division and by all accounts wasn't a bad player and was being watched by some big clubs but he messed up in a game where loads of scouts were watching, probably through nerves but their loss could be our gain Very Happy

I think this manager & his team that he's putting together has a good vibe to it. Some interesting signings and promising noises coming from the club. Time to separate the off-the-field shenanigans and support what's going on on the pitch.

This is one of the biggest mistruths about this site. The vast majority on here have spent many a year and many a penny dragging their arses around this country watching a group of average footballers (from whatever era) play for Plymouth Argyle. Indeed some on here would say that it is precisely their love for the club which makes them so frustrated at the historical decisions that have been made in its name.

Anyway I agree with knecht. I like the cut of Sheridan's jib.

The bigger picture and likely future scenario at HP still appals me.

I could attend a match at HP next month but will probably give it a miss and watch cricket.

That's just me and I don't expect or think others will feel the same .

Knecht,in the 1800's there were a lot of French prisoners of war imprisoned at Princetown. Now these guys used to go out on working parties to Calstock,Tavistock and wherever, and they used to socialise and then  interbreed with the local populus, with the result that years later many locals started to speak and write  in french.Just saying like.

Interbreed? this used to be such a genteel site before these ruffians came along talking about inter racial sex and demanding Pete changes the rules, rules which nobody but Pete understands I might add.
Yours Shocked of Southampton.

Absolute crap, Iggy. I can count on the fingers of one hand how many inbreds there are around here. So that's only six.

Revealed to be Jordan Gele by Hooper on pasoti's Clevedon thread. He played for US Boulogne-sur-Mer second team in the French Leagues (CFA2 which is their 5th division) and last season looked to have played 17 times (8 were as sub) scoring 1 goal.
