Plymouth Argyle check out Finnish defender
FINNISH Under-21 international Tuomas Rannankari is having a trial with Plymouth Argyle, according to sources in Scandinavia.
The 22-year-old left-back is reported to have agreed a 10-day trial with the League Two club.
Rannankari has been playing for German fourth tier side SpVgg Greuther Furth after joining them last summer from FC Twente.
The defender came through the youth system at Finnish Premier League club KuPS and made 13 appearances for them before moving to FC Twente.
Argyle will be looking for a left-back if Onismor Bhasera opts not to sign the deal the Pilgrims have offered him.
Bhasera has not returned for pre-season training and Argyle have been waiting for confirmation from him about whether he will or will not take up their offer.
