did one (vdub fest) many years back selling (illegal) tee shirts, made a bomb.

vdub fans are more gullible than cobi

shite machines that albeit look nice, but aren't fit for purpose: they break down more often than a hormonal wife, leak more than a pensioner, you cant fit more than two people in and they are WAY overpriced.
just my opinion.

get yourself an ldv, kit it out yourself, its really easy and costs feck all

Volksfest's been going for ages and has a really good reputation.

Get yourself a Mazda Bongo! Brilliant alternative to VW's but much cheaper and better reliability. And Bongo drivers are called Bongonauts!

Friends went last year and said it was really good. They camped all weekend andhad a great time apart from when it pissed down on the last day. Actually it might have been 2 years ago, but the music line-up doesn't look bad for the money. Any band called the Muff Fluffers is going to be pretty cool Cool

Maker isn't really a girls aloud type do, I know the organisers and they organise it for the community, or should I say with the community in mind. It went a bit big a few years ago and they decided it was having too much of an impact on the villages and have downsized it nowadays, it's a nice sized do though and worth a visit.
Although I do own a VW that I have converted myself and have travelled loads in I don't like many vanners, they are an anal bunch in general who have more respect for somebody that has been to a professional builder and given them £25k to pimp their van than for the very clever boys and girls that have done their vans themselves on tight budgets. Free camping in my van and waking up to watch the sunrise over the sea is my idea of vanning, not sitting in a field with people I don't have a lot in common with. Maker might well get a visit this year though.

Can't beat buying a vw t5 or t4 and converting it into dayvan or camper. I will be looking out for a t5 as soon as I got some money together.

Must agree about the guys being really anal about how much they spend keeping there camper on the road.

Well it was a bloody good day with excellent entertainment and sweet FA to do with Volkswagen other than a few displays. I'll definitely be going again.

my yurt was at the bushcraft show this weekend, sponsoring the grilling bear himself. i was at off the tracks festival, listening to aeroplanes take off and land at east midlands and the superbikes fizzing around the racetrack. music was ok, as normal, best band? the lagan from belfast, punx meets the pogues meets the corrs. (only joking about the coors!) cider bar was very special this time. 2pints no legs
