I know you can say there is no smoke without fire but the man has not been charged with any offence and if and when he is he may still not be found guilty.

But if he where to be found guilty of any sexual offences then he he should face the full force of the law as in being strung up by his nuts

This could end up as a lesson to those who "look into the eyes"

I met this bloke in Gibraltar back in the 70's. I was on a run ashore with my office staff one Wednesday afternoon and who should walk into the pub we were in but Rolf with his manager and pianist. They were in Gib to compare the Miss Gib competition apparently. We as a group got talking to them and he offered to come to HMS ROOKE and give the troops an evenings entertainment free of charge. Got it organised with the Skipper and agreed and he turned up and did a whole evening. Then spent an hour after drawing cartoons for people and autographing them. He was the warmest of persons you would ever wish to meet and since then I have to admit to having a soft spot for the guy. He wouldn't do the Wardroom or Senior Rates Mess but insisted it was the troops or nothing. Not one ounce of I am a star about him.

When I heard this on the news today I was genuinely shocked. I just hope it isn't true in the end but fear when it comes to names being released like this it may well be.

In all seriousness and being grown up and normal; if you had a one night stand when you were 25 (I know, it's far fetched for most of the people on here to put themselves in that situation) and then, ten years later, you become famous and then this girl/boy comes out and says you 'assaulted them', what exactly are you supposed to do to prove your inocence? The press have named you, you're a star/well known public figure, you're on the front page of the papers and on the internet and on tv news. What are you supposed to do - even if you're innocent, you're guilty.

It's damn lucky. If I get famous, they'll never find the bodies.

What I've heard is that the allegations relate to a single incident with an adult female, rather than anything involving children.

I have to say, terrible as it is, that the whole publicity surrounding Savile has almost certainly encouraged some people to make false accusations in the hope of getting some compensation by accusing a 80's celebrity of something. I think people should definitely hold off any judgement on Harris until the police have done their thing.
