It seems that Roy Hodgson is under pressure from two angles [
The Telegraph].
Firstly,Simon Hart of The Telgraph suggests that if England fail to qualify, then anything up to £26m could be lost to the FA . If that were to happen, lucrative deals that are penciled in to be renewed may not,as the FA would be in a weak position.
Nigel Currie of Brand Rapport says ''failure to qualify would have dire consequences'' and he goes on to say ''i think the damage would be very significant on a number of fronts''.
The 1-1 draw on Tuesday has left England with a small mountain to climb to finish as group winners and even if England do make the Play=Offs, that could be tricky also.
Henry Winter of The Telegraph goes on to suggest that Roy Hodgson is sleepwalking in to the Play-Offs,where a possible meeting with France could await.
According to Henry Winter, somebody at the FA should give Hodgson a good kick up the arse [putting it politely].
Hodgson however, believes England will leap above Montenegro and make it to Brazil. He suggests that Wembley should become a more difficult arena for visiting teams [notably Montenegro and Poland] to get a result.
