| Hi all, If anyone's interested, there's a cracking deal on the 'Groupon' daily deal site for a go on the Hoe's big wheel..... £6 for 2 people, £8 for a family of four. See here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| How demeaning that Groupon see Plymouth as a satellite town of Exeter
PS. Good deal that |

| I did one Groupon deal and was so pissed off by the end of it that all their emails now go straight to the spambox.
How much is the wheel normally? 'cos I wouldn'y pay more than 3 quid anyway!! |

| I have only bought one thing via Groupon and it didn't work. I get the impression it's a way for merchants to off load some of their left over crap.
I like the wheel though, I think it's a good tourism draw, unlike the potentially fantastic Naval museum that could have been a part of the Royal William Yard but why do that when we can have holiday homes down there for our South Eastern cousins. |

| Well, it's been said.......
On a more mundane footing I know, as a Dockyard apprentice I used to go & wind the clock in Royal William Yard on Fridays..... |

I think that's true for a lot of actual material purchases. This deal is different though as all you have to do is print off the voucher and take it with you. It is a genuine discount too, we paid £20 last year for 4 of us. I got a family (2+2) ticket for Dartmoor Wildlife park for £14 too, so there are some good deals to be had if you sort the wheat from the chaff. |
