| Did it actually all go off then? Seems from that article the police were just systematically nicking everyone in the pub, till they got enough to fill a coach! |

| Were they done on Section 27? Reminds me of when a load of Argyle fans were arrested for nothing much in particular at Doncaster a few years back. |

| Seems none of them were "away" fans (Lincoln City). [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]And it seems the trouble started at 10.30 though the first arrests were at 3.20 which suggests they were not Nuneaton fans either. Looks like a typical BBC football-fans-bashing non story. |

| To even talk about non league football brings me out in a rash, we are not small town crap like torquay or exeter ( sorry tis red merse and you other unfortunates) but this is what gross mismanagement has brought this club to, brent should be ashamed! |

None taken Suffers. We faced the abyss and returned in triumph, the Turks look like their return might have been a tad premature, you boys would find it hard because your psyche is pure denial. I still don't see it happening though, two from Turks, York and Accy looks favourite to me. |

| Nuneaton v Lincoln: Apparently the yobs piled out of the Granby as police were escorting Lincoln fans from the station - the police then just went in with riot gear and herded everyone back in the pub and barricaded the doors. Left them in there until the game was over and arrested them one by one. About 90 led out, one by one, in handcuffs irrespective of any involvement. The poor old landlord removed the tills and turned off the pumps and was trapped with 90 angry, thirsty "fans". They trashed the place and helped themselves according to Cov Evening Telegraph. Seems strange that police can store troublemakers in someones business premises for 3 hours and let them trash the place. CCTV in the pub should help sort out who did what. Only posting this because Nuneaton are my "first" team being born in the poxy place. Fondest memory (other than Sat night disco at club) was seeing an Oxford supporter handcuffed to an iron gate whilst copper went off to help his mates. The Oxford fan lifted the gate off its hinges and toddled off to the station. I always imagined him trying to get on a train with 6 foot wrought iron gate attached. Always had trouble with FA cup games in the 70s I seem to remember |

Small town....we were a City tens of decades before Plymouth was given City status or even had electricity and we are only in danger of being promoted again. You will look back at these as "halcyon league days" long after Newell's Statue has been unveiled at the opening of the Brent Hotel & Shopping Complex, sponsored by Costcutter in collaboration with the Latvian Cheap Meat Company. |
