Ah the postman and the banker, a marriage in heaven and their offspring - likely relegation into the black hole of football, where some teams are never seen again.
cheers

Standing back from everything else this is exactly what the President should be doing, that is promoting Plymouth Argyle in the City and trying to increase gates. The issue of course is that Chris has become an increasingly divisive figure within the online Argyle fanbase and that clouds everything he does.

It would be churlish to criticise too much the special ticket offers and attempt to galvanise as much support as possible for what is a must win game.

When I support my team, either at Home Park or away, or buy something in the shop, or buy a 50/50 ticket, or buy a drink at an inflated price, it is DESPITE the antics of the President and his Director friend.

Calling for unity now, after doing his best to divide the fanbase since his promotion, is a sick joke.

All I know, churlish or not, is that since Webb, Newell and Jones have been involved in an official capacity with the club, there has never been such purposely created ill feeling regarding something that was "once" a pleasure and an interest for many!

I would like Newell, Webb and Jones (the scumbags!) to put between them and the club as many miles as it is possible to achieve and I believe that the vast majority of fans would agree!

Sad thing is Dingle, we all know what he is like we have seen the evidence yet his fanclub whitewash it all.

So what has Webb actually done to deserve the title of President?

He didn't single handedly save the club, the people who went without pay for months on hand saved the club.

If someone could tell me, seriously why he is President then i'd be eternally greatful.

Of course the reason is because he realised Webb was someone he needed to keep sweet and on side but i'd like to hear any other reasons why Laughing

I went up at lunch time to get my daughter a ticket - it'll be her first game and she's really excited... poor deluded child.

I asked around the office if anyone wanted a reduced adult ticket - no takers. Some people even laughed at me pale

There was a massive queue of just me in the club shop. It's going to be rocking on Saturday.

People have had the NSPCC knocking on their door for far less, hairy.

Actually, why do we only have a National Society for the prevention of cruelty to children;but have a Royal Society for prevention of cruelty to animals?

The rallying calls he comes out with once every couple of months really are quite humerous aren't they? If i didnt have a ST they'd be no chance in hell i would be going on Saturday. I'll be surprised if more than 8k turn up.

If Webb had stuck to promoting the club like this and not been involved in the anonymous multi-accounts attacking other fans and the Trust he used to be leader of, then he could be praised for getting the message out there with things like this. The postboxes were cheesy and to me devalued the gold medal winners who were quite rightly honoured with a gold postbox. Still even that was harmless really and gained the club more publicity.

The Forza Verde thing has been a disaster. Fans pushed away from seats they have had for donkeys years, and given that the block nearest the away fans has been turned into a family area with facilities for children, again not a bad idea but surely all wrong in where it has happened, this was an ideal opportunity to get an atmosphere going where it always used to be, and near the away fans so the banter and chants made more sense. How somebody who "purports" to be a lifelong fan can get something so wrong is beyond a joke, just like his idea of Argyle fans singing "Play up Pompey" along with Portsmouth fans before the League Cup match was so far wrong it was off the scale. He backtracked as soon as people raised concerns about it, just like he did with the "Argyle Ultras" thing, which was the name given to the group upon it's inception.

This was always denied by Webb, but there is no denying this:

For a long time now Gary McGuire of the GTs and myself have been wanting to formally start the ARGYLEULTRAS up.

Obviously both of our lives have been taken up with helping to keep the Club going, pay the staff etc.

Now though we really want to push this on.

The atmosphere in the Devonport today was excellent but we are going to step it up in a prepared, strategic way.

The Hereford match will see the formal launch of the ArgyleUltras in Blocks 3/4 of the Devonport.

We will leaflet the Devonport pre-match with songsheets and a background to the Ultras and what we want to achieve.

In the same way that that Manchester United have the Green/Gold scarves the ARGYLE ULTRAS will be marked with GREEN/BLACK scarves (Mariner era style). EXAMPLE [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] .....These will be on sale outside the ground on match day asap.

Overtime and once we have raise enough funds we will be purchasing GIANT Flags - EXAMPLE
We will have flags on poles laid at the front of the stand and manned by fans ready to signal the starting of chanting / movement.

We are also looking to purchase loud speakers for key individuals to start the chanting.

The Taverners have already pledged their support. Hopefully others can do the same, then by the Torquay game we can really have the ground rocking - led by the ARGYLE ULTRAS.

We are making the best of the situation this year by picking the back of blocks 3/4.

If all goes well then next year we will look to negotiate an Ultras block with the Club.

Its been muted before - now we are doing it.

Ladies and gentlemen.

Introducing to you................THE ARGYLE ULTRAS.

Chris

You will also see from that Pasoti excerpt that Mr Webb only joined Pasoti in February 2011, but of course Mr Argyle doesn't want anyone to know what he was called on Pasoti before he became a celebrity Wink

It's another example of how out of touch Webb is with the fanbase, when all but a small pocket of youngsters don't want this shit thrust upon them. When challenged about the Ultras name which is synonymous with far right groups and organised violence, Webb denied that the term Ultras was ever on the agenda. It's what he does best, denies it until he's blue in the face. I won't bore you all with the other examples where he has been found out lying and denies it, only to have to admit lying some months later Rolling Eyes

So we can see that Christ Webb, darling of the fans, the people's president, has turned his back on the Trust he led, turned his back on many fans who don't always agree with everything he says, maliciously gaining revenge on anyone who does challenge his point of view, aided and abetted by that other fans champion, Peter Jones!

Now we have Christ Webb the Union man, the great socialist who has been a shoulder to cry on for the many fans made redundant while his mate the rich banker carves up the land the football club he loves lies on, for the rich bankers pension pot scratch

The Trust leader who now rips into the Trust at every opportunity, takes part in anonymous Pasoti accounts that have attacked the Trust, and is arm in arm with the other scumbags who enjoy carrying out these cowardly acts. All denied of course until the heat gets too much and something has to give. You can't always blame an 18yr old club employee for your dirty deeds Webb!

What Christ Webb is very good at is promoting himself, his posts always mention what a great job he does as a union man, then you see the comments in The Herald from a postman in Plymouth slating him for the fact that postmen now have to work until 3pm on Saturdays, therefore meaning these people can no longer attend the games Webb is urging them to, all of this while he is conveniently off himself every Saturday, nice work if you can wangle it eh Christ? Very Happy

He's all talk, He is involved in so much of the dodgy stuff that has happened over the last 2 years or so. As Trust leader he received a letter from Rickler, which somehow ended up on Ian Newell's public Flickr account for a start, I don't believe he's ever addressed how that came to be has he? Betraying confidences while supposedly representing the Argyle Fans Trust he now attacks.

How many dodgy Pasoti accounts has he owned up to being involved in now? Yet he's still awfully shy about supplying his I.P. address for the mods here to clear his name from the allegations of wrongdoing. That's becaue he has been involved in ATD accounts which have been set up to attack, threaten or just generally cause trouble.

Christ Webb represents himself. He is one of a select band of fans at Argyle who are beyond reproach as they have roles at the club or are carrying out the owners wishes. He dropped the Trust role as soon as he had been headhunted by Brent in a move that guaranteed a large amount of the fanbase went with Webb's character appraisal of Brent.

People may have forgotten that not so long ago Christ Webb out of nowhere posted on Pasoti "absolving" Tony Wrathall from any of the blame for the situation the old board had left the club in. Webb wanted Wrathall to come to a fanfest so Christ could buy him a pint. Wanted Wrathall to know that he was welcome at Home Park. This didn't go down too well with the fans who were still outraged at the old board and the shit they had left the club in, so what does Mr Webb do? He backtracks, denies that he has invited Wrathall to Home Park at all and says that he would just buy the guy a drink and had not spoken to him previously about coming back to Home Park as a fan.

Coincidentally about two weeks later Tony Wrathall turns up at Home Park as a guest of the GT's or one of the GT's sponsoring the game. He is wined and dined by the same staff who went oh so long without pay, before walking out on the pitch that was never paid for like some kind of returning hero.

Webb denied all knowledge of this of course. "Not me guv" came his standard reply and nobody at all had a clue who had invited Wrathall back to Home Park to rub the fans and staff's noses in it. Except that was a load of old bullshit. Christ Webb and Ian Newell knew all along who had invited Wrathall, it was a mate of Newell's who he had to plug on Pasoti, telling everyone what a great business they were, how the service was great and that he had a kitchen installed by them. This is where I first encountered Newell really as I took the piss out of him for advertising this company so openly and said something like "Be sure to say it was Ian who sent you" And from that moment onwards I was Newell's target. He then tried using me to "out" this person on Pasoti because the natives were restless and Webb and Newell needed the heat taking off them, but weren't man enough to do it themselves.

What happened next is well documented.

So in summary we have Webb dropping the Trust for a seat next to the rich banker at the trough. Webb basically inviting Wrathall to Home Park but not wanting it made known, Webb being involved in anonymous accounts that have attacked the Trust he once loved, and attacked other fans all under the safe haven of a pseudynom. Webb being on the GT's coach last season where my mother's details are being passed around, Webb blaming an 18yr old club employee for making threats to myself, when all along it was one of his best mates, and some still anonymous cowards who were behind it, and of course the issue where Webb himself has been implicated in this account as well.

So with Webb you do get a kind of consistency. Consistently unaware of all of the shit his friends are up to, even when he is sat next to them carrying it out Very Happy Consistently lying and of course being found out Very Happy Consistently coming up with daft ideas that have pushed people away from Home Park rather than attracting them Very Happy

Larrieu for President.

Webb resign, Jones Resign, Hooper resign

I've edited out the link to the big flag above as it was stretching the page like a bitch. Very Happy -Bleddy Mods, love Yea Man

I wouldn't mind any of this tubthumping if it was done by anyone else and for any other reason other than Webb trying to promote himself as inspirational Human being, totally delusional.

Oh and we've had this shit foisted on us too llong and guess what? Its boring and We are still feckin hopeless.

Still if we all go wooooaaaah-la la la la la, then Argyle will beat Barnet and stay up. Rolling Eyes
