| Argyle are up for three football league awards- Best employer of care in the community people (Fletcher and Chadwick), Biggest drum (kid with the exeter scarf) and Club Director with the most multis on internet forums (Jones). To read the proper awards see below- - Quote :
- ARGYLE will have three separate shots at glory at year's Football League Awards.
The Pilgrims have been shortlisted in the Family Club of the Year and Best Use of Digital Marketing categories, whilst on the pitch, teenage striker Tyler Harvey is up for npower League 2 Apprentice of the Year. Argyle chairman James Brent was understandably delighted to see the club recognised in this way. He said: "Whilst I know we haven’t won anything yet, to be shortlisted in the categories that we have been is a great honour. "There are lots of people working tirelessly behind the scenes for this football club and I think that this is testament to way in which the club is moving.” Family Club of the Year The Family Club of the Year award goes to the club that best demonstrates outstanding delivery of activity to attract and retain families at games. Argyle were nominated for the same award in 2008, 2009, and 2010 and have this year, impressed the judging panel with our state-of-the-art Family Zone for All Area. The Family Zone for All complements two other match-day initiatives: Match-day Magic, a package for both home and away teams’ families incorporating a coaching session; and Young Carers, a partnership with Barnardos, offering young carers the opportunity to experience a match-day and provide some respite/rewards. Also nominated are AFC Bournemouth, Brighton & Hove Albion, Cardiff City, Doncaster Rovers and Oxford United.
Best Use of Digital
The Pilgrims' Join The Club membership campaign has caught the eye of judges in the Best Use of Digital category. The award aims to recognise the clubs that best demonstrate results they have achieved during 2012 (calendar year) by running innovative digital strategies or campaigns which engages with the target audience. This year's membership campaign, which introduced a comprehensive range of tailored packages, helped improve overall ticket sales whilst catering for the needs of specific quarters of the fan base. Also nominated are Birmingham City, Bristol City, Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Swindon Town. League 2 Apprentice of the YearTyler Harvey's shortlisting in the npower League 2 Apprentice of the Year category comes as little surprise. Home-town boy Tyler’s dedication and hard work, which has been evident throughout his time as a young player, has recently been recognised with first-team involvement. Having trained with the first-team squad, he subsequently scored on his full debut, capping a man-of-the-match performance. Also nominated are Rochdale’s Jamie Allen and Barnet’s George Sykes.
The eventual winners of the awards will be announced at a gala ceremony at The Brewery, London, on Sunday, March 23, 2013. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| look how far we have come...
the first award i find quite supprizing seeing the family area is hardly ever used to warrant two blocks dedicated to it |

| Its nice to see they are planning ahead with the carers, as I'm sure we will all need them from being emotionally and mentally affected from the goings on at Home Park, on and off the pitch |

This. Hope that the family award does not come our way, else it looks like the kindergarten will be there to stay. |

He doesn't care. The only people at Home Park in the Blue Square will be the loyal tent dwellers and their keepers. They'll be over the moon, rattling buckets like crazy and most of them will be able to fit in the directors' box on a Saturday. Everyone is a winner. Skeleton staff of part timers and an ever growing cast of jamboys to give their time for free ! The saviour can concentrate on his real business interests. The rest of you can feck off and suport ManU. |
