Got a superb reception today. Came out at half time and was applauded and his name sung and at full time.

Probably sums up the mindset of quite a few of those who still go.

No-one can ever do anything wrong if they're representing Argyle.

The response from Forza Verde was disgusting , he deserves no welcome at all for what he did.I believe he has paid for his crime but what he did should never be forgotton

Ambivalence would have been the most appropriate response.

He got a far bigger reception than the scenario he put himself in, deserved. To be fair he looked almost embarrassed at the adulation. He gave a measured response back with a down-key clap, and that was that.

I'm not ashamed at clapping a player who was crucial in taking us up 2 leagues, a great person, he was going around the bars and offices before KO saying hey to all the ex staff. That man stood in the middle of the pitch and cried his eyes out when he was sentenced.

What he did was wrong, but its time to move on.

Nice Mc'Cormick is getting his life nicely together - ok he has done his two and a half years, but there is a woman sitting up in Manchester with a disabled husband and pictures of her dead children on her mantlepiece. You think that is worth applauding do you Pitbull.
Get a fecking life braindead.

To be fair, Cobi's response would be similar to a lot of kids his age that aren't worldly wise just yet.

What pitch did he stand in the middle of? I agree it is time to move on , the best course of action would have been to ignore him.To his credit he did not play up to the infantile adulation. What he did was wrong and can never be put right but has has served his time and should be allowed to get on with his life.Singing songs about him is going way too far.

My reasoning:

1. He was a superb keeper, took us up 2 leagues.
2. I remember him doing an awful lot of charity work for my dad while he worked at the club.
3. I'd been to one of his parties and Luke always use to get me a birthday present.

I just remember him being a great guy who made a terrible mistake.

The HP pitch before he was sent to jail.

A clap would have been sufficient to appreciate what he did for us.

To chant his name is feckin moronic.

Can read the headlines now: killer keeper gets heroes welcome on return to old club.

He knew he was going to jail, he came back to Plymouth beforehand and visited Home Park.

You are absolutely right Cobi - I was also clapping Luke when he came out. Clapping him as a part of a great team we once had. He made a terrible, tragic mistake and has served his time and has been punished. H is now getting on with his life and his job.

Cobi i do not know him but i am sure he is a great guy as you say but public adulation is disrespectful the the shattered family he left in his wake. I know it was a terrible mistake and i am sure he will regret it for the rest of his life but i still think public displays of adulation are uncalled for.As i have said before he has served his time and i wish him well for the rest of his life.

By and large, football people aren't very bright. They'll praise themselves and others one minute then hurl abuse the next. They aren't very bright .

Misplaced emotions abound, just like the murals and other nonsense at HP these days. The bigger picture always escapes them.
