Ex Leeds player announces he is Gay

Robbie Rogers a US international who has recently been released from Leeds has announced that he is gay. He is also moving away from football. The FA have said they will support him. He's only the third footballer to come out after Justin Fashanu and Glenn Hysen's son.

And he's quit football. I don't get what all the fuss is about? It's 2013 and who gives a toss what goal these guys are aiming for?

The sporting world got over the fact Billie Jean King and Martina Navratilova are lesbians about 20 years ago so what do people think will happen if a big name footballer comes out? I'll hazard a guess that John Terry would still get more stick from the opposition fans than the first high profile gay.
