I used to ask people: (1) if they had to eat someone or die which they would prefer to do; (2) if they decided to eat someone whether they would choose to eat someone they knew and liked or someone they didn't like. I never got a serious answer so I gave up asking.
I'd go for (1) every time.
It I was stuck somewhere without food and just a recently deceased body nearby I would have to say I would definitely tuck in whether I knew them or liked them or whatever.
If I was captured by a deranged serial killer and awoke from the effects of the chloroform they had administered to me prior to abducting me, tied up in a dungeon under a disused warehouse near the docks which was noisy so no chance of a passerby hearing my cries for help and the deranged serial killer gave me the option to eat a n other person they had also abducted and was chained up nearby, or die a gruesome death which involved a chainsaw, a jagged bottle, a Rottweiler, a red hot poker, a tank of pirhana fish and some electrodes attached to a box that was throwing out thousands of volts of electricity, I wouldn't eat the nearby fellow abductee whether I knew them, liked them or whatever.
This is because I had seen the deranged serial killers face and there would be no way they were going to release me unharmed after polishing off the human 5 course meal.
You have to think about these things and I constantly do. It's kept me alive up to now so I must be doing something right.
