as i tuck into my lunch, a bowl of 3 shredded wheat, im reminded of the campaign 'bet you cant eat three'.
being of the guillible persuation, i fell for that one at the time and my habit has continued ever since. meaning i have purchased one third more packets of said cereal than i needed to.
anyone else caught out by an advertising campaign.
no need to mention 'onwards and upwards' or 'run by fans for fans'- surely none of us on here fell for those tricks?

When I was a kid there used to be an advert for Special K. The tagline went...
"Special K - for grown up people who'd rather not grow any more."
Not understanding what they really meant, I always thought that if I ate it, I'd stay four foot nothing.

I use to like the tango adverts when the little fat bloke painted orange would go up and slap people when they opened a can. You know when you've been tangoed.
Then some miserable shit complained and got it banned. The new adverts were never as good.

Ciggy adverts, everywhere I fekn went. They even placed machines outside of shops where we could easily thieve them. Once the machines went we were left weak shop owners/staff, free ciggies.
On the off-chance anyone might read my appalling mishaps as a youth, I sincerely apologise you got sacked (it did happen).
How the feck did they get those ciggy ads so wrong?

Now, that could well explain my sometimes irrational behavior!

Actually the Stella tag line of - 'Reassuringly Expensive' worked quite well in the yuppie aspirational boom times.

Using Cillit Bang around the house makes me shout my name loudly.
Mrs PP does that sometimes.
