So was it just lack of confidence?

Chris Errington writing in yesterdays W.M.N. described Argyle's performance on Saturday as one of the poorest in recent seasons, particularly in the first half, it's difficult to argue with that.
Before the game Sheridan identified there was a lack of confidence given our league position and that we we were making basic mistakes particularly, losing the ball in dangerous positions. The reality was we could hardly string two passes together or keep the ball throughout the whole game, and every player was culpable.
So is that just lack of belief, as a fan I really don't know - thoughts? fellow Greenies.

Coaching, training at fault. We need a decent coach.

There is bound to be a lack of confidence given the recent history. You cannot go through the fall we have without it having an affect and this is true of the supporters as much as the players.

I watched the Oldham match at the weekend. That team came out and roughed Liverpool up with a lot of character and desire and thoroughly deserved to be 3 - 1 up. However, their record in the league is rather poor and the last 20 minutes you could visibly see the fear in the way they played. It was almost like they stopped believing and went into a shell. Liverpool scored and the play went even further into a shell and pannick set in. Chuffed for them that they held on but in the end it was skin of teeth time.

Most sports are about confidence. Murray in Tennis was one of nearly winning and he choaked in finals so many times. Didn't quite believe. He will win more Grand Slams having broken the duck now. That's just one other example. If you have an unshakable belief you will win then even when you don't it won't affect you for the next match. If you continually doubt yourself and your team then more often than not you will throw away any success you might have achieved. If you expect to lose then chances are you probably will,

JS needs to get a settled 11 and stick to them as much as possible, we have just had 4 new faces come in as well as him asking them to play differently. When the crowd got nervous so did the team, if this team starts firing we will be fine, easier said than done though.

We need coaches. Larry and Nance are not coaches. Why hasn't Sheridan brought his own people in? Cost? Or perhaps no-one wants to come here?

I was thinking the same. We really are in a spot of bother, thanks to Bent and his jamboys trusting in Fletch. We could've gone for Ward too............... Rovers seem to be doing well enough with him at the helm and surprise, surprise, despite the defeat at Gillingham last night, Ade Boothroyd is now doing the business at little old Northampton, as Ginge and Sad Act said he would

I would suggest that it is all down to finances

Besides which an ice rink takes priority.

We need proper coaches and in the loan market we need to get a midfielder and a decent striker, then we'll be fine. Lets hope Ugwu is good on Saturday!
