| Good luck sheridan, get the playing squad in this afternoon running round the pitch for three hours, may not do any good, but it will make us poor mugs happier! |

| He simply has to bring his own coaching team with him. If he's forced to work with Nance an Ro then we're well and truly f***ed. Only a whole new coaching set up will work. |

| Best of luck to him.
I too hope he is able to bring in his own coaching staff & is able to bring in some new faces who will put their shoulder to the grindstone & be able to offload/pay off some of the complete shower of terminally useless shit we accumulated under Fletcher.

I cant see it happening now as i dont think either Tommy Wright and Mark Crossley are going leave Chesterfield upsticks and move down here only for 5 months guranteed. If they are to come i think it will depend on John getting a longer contract (longer than a one year rolling one) which is understandable IMO. |

| So in essence he's a caretaker manager. How much will the board back a man that might not be here past the summer. Which players are going to want to make a permanent move to a club with a temporary manager and staring the conference firmly in the face.
He's either the right choice or he isn't. He's either prepared to have to drop to the conference with us or he isn't. |

| I can't see us getting any new permanent signings in. Just loans until the end of the season.
Once we know where we will be next season we can build accordingly over the summer. |

| I don't think it's a bad idea really, just giving him to the end of the season, especially if there's a caveat that he gets a better contract if he keeps us up.
It's one hell of an incentive to stay up as far as he's concerned.
If he's given carte blanche to release anyone he can on the cheap, or move them on if some mad fucker fancies taking Chadwick or Feeney off our hands, and any revenue saved can be used by him plus a couple of loan signings, I think he's good enough to keep us up.
Even though the unthinkable means one hell of a drop in revenue for God knows how long, I can't see him being given much to play with financially. Then if the worst happens there will need to be a complete revolution at the club.
If it needed to be restructured as it is with redundancies, it will be a mass cull if we drop into the BSP.
I've yet to see anyone openly back Sheridan on Pasoti, possibly in fear of being ridiculed if it doesn't work out, but I'll nail my colours to the mast and say I'm quite pleased about his appointment.
Plenty of people criticised Fletcher for being too quiet and lacking passion, well that's a thing of the past! I would have a wager that he faces a touchline ban before the end of the season and if any player steps out of line or doesn't pull their weight, he will take an entirely different approach to Fletchers that's for sure.
He loves attacking football so it won't ne dull between now and May, which might be what is needed to stir up the crowd instead of flag waving adolescents singing we're trying our best as we lose to shit like Wycombe at home.
If we're going down I'd rather see us at least trying. Fletchers policy was settling for a draw and hopefully get a late penalty. I expect Wotton will be told to get some feckin passion going on the pitch and stop fannying around with the short pass to hourihane who in turn knocks it square to a defender for twenty minutes.
Lowry was his boy too so expect him to feature so there will be at least one player who knows his style from the off.
Wingers will be told to beat their man and get the cross over, and PCH and a n other will be played as wingers so Griffiths might be our key player. He's obviously not been given the right support so far so here's his chance to prove he can do it.
Once he gets the team playing I think it will be a bit like the shilton period and provided we stay up next season could be totally different and the crowds will get bigger. |

That's pretty much what I've heard about him too. I just hope he has enough time to make any kind of impact. On Lowry, the Chesterfield fans I've spoken to think they had a behind the scenes falling out, so it will be interesting to watch that develop. |

| He's played & worked with some big names in his time-McCarthy, Keane x2, Francis,Quinn, Danny Wilson-even the great Carlton Palmer.
So he should have enough contacts to be able to get in a player or two (and a coach) who could help keep us up. |

| Got no doubts at all that he has got the contacts & the ability to succeed, just a question of whether he has the time to turn it around & gets all the backing he needs from above. Someone of his experience will have sought all the reassurances he needs prior to acceptance I guess. |

POTENTIAL. true but if my uncle had tits he would be my auntie. He is here now and has a bit of time to bring in 2-3 players and given the mandate to kick a few players up the arse which you never know might bring out the best in them till may and we have all got to hope it pays off. |
