He's obviously a strong negotiator and experienced businessman but does he feel that he's been sold a PR pup and does he really appreciate being in the limelight?

Was he convinced by people he felt were at the core heartbeat of the club at the start of the takeover that he would be seen as the hero - which he was - and that with the club in turmoil the only way was up. In essence he would have a glowing honeymoon period.

Is he now having second thoughts? Does he resent being the focus of so much public discussion and ultimately some resentment!

I hadn't considered this much before tonight but a few things linked together, maybe irrationally.

1. At the time when Ridsdale stopped the vigil with cava a message was sent out online to lay off Ridsdale as JB was getting cold feet with all the heat.

2. El Presidente's last plea for unity

3. IJN's rant that JB is not a property developer despite that being exactly what he is

4. Now the foot soldiers are out blaming PJ and the sexbomb for delaying Fletch's sacking

Are they scared that they haven't delivered the easy ride that they may have promised?

Got to say if you came to that post cold it sounds incredible, but having witnessed the newell files, seen the Presidents posts and IJN's recent behaviour along with the unbelievable No.4 - think you may have a point.

In which case JB has to put the pedal to the metal, develop and get out of the limelight counting his money. I could be wrong but.....

Do you think he cares? He's got the car park, the pavilions plus £2m and money for the stadium. All of this in exchange for a few freaks on the Internet giving him grief and a dozen or so old boys giving stick in the grandstand. Most people without any interest in Argyle will still see him as the club's saviour and no matter what happens on the pitch I suspect his reputation will be untarnished.

Pokesdown, do you take your name from the area of Bournemouth?

Brent's the master of spin and so it appears nothing has changed. He might be telling Webb & Nool one thing in private (hence their recent postings) but as Pete says, he has already gained too much to be bothered what a few football fans think. Rightly or wrongly he still has plenty of support, just look at the reports from the PASTA gig a few nights ago. If it really does come on top for him he'll just stop attending matches with the obvious excuses.
