| It's not fair, stamps feet, I am (was before I stopped going) a regular member of the CTC and I never get a mention.
In fact...we were only ever there for the (crap) beer. |

| Now I'm all for that Tring but that isn't what is coming across. To most of us it just seems that you have a vendetta against anyone that has spoken against you in the past, anyone at all.
It's silly Tring and it's quite apparent to the point that others are ridiculing you about it. It has cheapened your argument and is making the three of you seem very small minded. The boring stuff we can all live with, I think most of us have learnt just to scan down the page until it's passed the point of "I told you so".
You have helped to cause a split in the very group that had a common cause and to rectify the problems that you have been shouting about for the past few years. Nuts! |

Anyone can post here and the fact that the cabal, or gang of four have largely left the building, says more about those individuals than I ever could. If my ironic reference to the, 'It's all about me !' comment was enough to push Peggy over the edge, then I was almost certainly correct. |

The gang of four? Did you not see Charlie's post? He attended several of these despicable meetings in a pub near Argyle's ground, along with a few others. Tring you've got your own way. Peggy, Cerbs and Andy have gone now so give yourself a chufty badge and then leave it. I can honestly say that they are several other posters who are considering following those 3 out of here because of your referencing anyone that happens to still enjoy going to games as some kind of muppet, and anyone who has the audacity to meet a fellow ATD'er is the devils spawn. I can handle all the village, look how far we've come, trust in stapes, kids let loose in a sweet shop stuff, just like I bore people silly with my tales of Greenman, but not everyone who prefers the company of others is a secret agent for Newell. Your dislike of Peggy goes back to years ago when she was a mod on Pasoti. She left that position god knows how long ago and was a bloody good contributor on here, as was Andy and Cerbs on occasions but your me me me comment was just the final straw because you kept digging now and then and she decided she had better things to do, just like Andy with Rickler's constant goading. Yes Andy should've asked the question of Brent but he didn't. Rickler also asked for someone attending the PASTA meeting with Brent to ask some questions which it appears didn't get asked. That doesn't make everyone attending a turncoat or wanker or liar. They probably had questions of their own. Maybe Andy should've apologised for not asking Rickler's questions but frankly Ricklers tone is often condescending and often downright nasty so who could blame him? Lets not turn on each other. We are all Argyle fans, except for a few guests with many toes, but there is always going to be a certain amount of differing opinions. Take Sensible, gets a battering on here for still enjoying going to games, yet he won't ever post or have an account on Pasoti, that tells me that there must be something about this site. I can't stand Newell, Webb et al but I'm still a passionate Argyle fan, it the politics I don't agree with and on that score pretty much all of us on here are united. Lets not cause another split on here because of a few fans meeting up for beers before a game and talking about diabetes eh? |

| Is there no 'ignore' function here for a particular reason? It seems to work on PASOTI so it must be technically possible. I'm a fairly recent recruit - no I'm not the - so I'm not aware of all the historical stuff. Most of the posts on this site are interesting and often amusing but I would find an 'ignore' function useful occasionally. |

Most of the posts on this site are interesting and often amusing but I would find an 'ignore' function useful occasionally. Looking at the software there is a friend or foe option available but no specific ignore option. I'm guessing if you add someone as a foe they become ignored. There's never really been a call for it before but obviously as the forum continues to grow it's something we could look at if the demand was there. |

| Some while ago I was accused of being a pasoti mole of some kind presumably because I didn't agree with the constant petty pasoti bashing. The only advantage I had was that you Jock knew my posting past and could put the record straight. But, for all the posturing on ATD this is not the "Democratic" site that some would have you believe and there are definate similarities to the way pasoti goes if you offer alternative views.
ALL websites have some perceived hierachy with posters and this one is no exception. If you fall out with certain posters then you are either ignored completely or given a cyber kicking for daring to offer something different to the normal opinion. Other posters join in like the same pack that does it on pasoti. You only have to read through some threads to see the trend and the same people who turn up to administer the kickings. Anyone new is instantly a bunney or a pig fancier. Instead of welcoming new posters this is the assumption that is always made and it hardly encourages new signees.
I don't bother to post much anymore because I don't think it is worth the bother. I read threads often out of curiosity but they nearly always come back to the same thing in the end which is where I switch off. Newell, Webb and pasoti meltdowns to name but a few. The same people are more often than not responsible for the topic going back to the above. Obsessed or what. The glaring glee when somebody is driven from the site by again the same people which they clearly see as a victory. This is on a site with the word "Democratic" in the title. About as democratic as the old Soviet Union as far as I can see with the exception of banning orders. People will tire of this and the increase in numbers will reverse in the end if it continues.

Genuine question SG, how do you suggest ATD can be made more democratic? |

| It's more democratic than Pasoti.
Half of the posts on this forum would've been deleted, edited or moved by now. |

| As this thread has once again turned into a personal war between a few people all posts which were just plainly sniping at someone else have been moved.
It's getting boring now every thread turning into a war and sniping at any opportunity.
If anyone is sending abuse via the PM system then the mods will take action.
In moving some posts some were accidently deleted instead of moved. |

I don't recall the reply being attacking on anyone and it isn't in the "Dump" that I can see. |
