Christ. I appreciate that he stayed with us for no pay all those months but saying thanks? Thanks for putting yourself first FLetch and not walking when you knew you weren't up to it. Thanks for leaving us in our worst league position ever and thanks for all those inspiring explananations of why we lose at home to sides like Wycombe.

That place should come with a Protect Your Mental Health warning.

It's easy when you've received Premiership wages previously to "stick it out" knowing full well that all your back pay is protected by the football creditors rule. His "loyalty" is nothing compared to the staff who worked on knowing full well that they may not get paid, as well as the suppliers who kept on trusting that the club would pay up.

Thank him....for what?

It certainly is easier to endure especially when you get interest free loans from the PFA. Getting the sack is easier to endure when you have your expensive contract paid off.

Lets spare a thought for the staff who were made redundant recently who also endured administration with very little outside support. The same staff who have had to work off their notice before leaving as the club weren't prepared to pay them off. These are the people who need our thanks.
