Where else in the world do you join a "club" for genuine reasons and are treated with such contempt until you prove yourself to be a "someone" with certain opinions that fit the profile that is required to "fit in". I am sure there are some very nice people on here but my short experience is that there are a few who are cynical, angry and plain weird!

You do not need to fit a certain profile my dear old thing. You may be confusing ATD with the way Pasoti has been çontrolled over the years.

Please excuse some of our members being suspicious, as we do get visited by disingenuous characters on a regular basis. It can can get rather tiresome but seems to give the perpetrators' pleasure.

I'm an ex season ticket holder and now attend on a "go when I feel like it" basis. I purposely stay away from the club (apart from the odd GT function or fanfest) as I'm not particularly keen on the regime at the club at moment. There seems to be an underlying socialist movement up there and I firmly believe football and sport in general should be "A political". Having said that, I hope that within 6 months the self appointed people will be back to where they belong, in the stands cheering on the team. The set up at HP seems to be gearing up to the fans running the club at the moment which would be a monumental disaster. Just cast your eyes up the A38 as to what happened to them when that happened!

I think that a lot of people should wake up and realise that JB doesn't really give a monkeys about the club, he is in it to develop/asset strip etc. As it stands he is the darling of the (Labour run) council and will continue to be whilst he is given contracts such as the pavilions etc. Watch out for the planning application soon to develop Central Park! That should make even the biggest JB fans reconsider their opinion of him as a "saviour"

Anyway, I'm Jon and I own a business in the city and am just pretty damned normal, I think!!
