You know the way they keep on about this look how far we have come crap you would think we were afc wimbledon and not a club that's fallen from the championship to the bottom half of League Two with no interest in returning there.

At least Rick still has a sense of humour with that title.

I was there and I just don't think that's a fair reflection.

Gilmartin made 2/3 really good saves and was commanding of his area yes but we had our chances too. Their keeper produced an equivalently good save from Young, Griffiths was just half a yard away from getting his toe onto what would have been a goal but he didn't get there and we missed a pen. Draw was a fair result, imho.

Errington and even the terminally-tinted Sparksy didn't seem to think so. Unless Sparksy was making it up, Gilmartin made more than your estimate of really good saves too.

Absolutely. I listened to the whole game and they both creamed themselves in the commentary box the way they went on about the saves, and equally spunky when describing Williams free-kick.

Got away with a draw is how they described it.

Fair enough it's a game of opinions I suppose and not to be too cruel but Sparksy isn't exactly famed for sharing everyone's views. Gilmartin was good but I don't think he did more than three saves which were really any more than routine. His control of area was excellent too though and his kicking improved on how it usually is. We had chances too and looked better at the end. Purse headed against the bar after the penalty too which I forgot about.

I think a draw was fair and either side could have nicked it but each to their own.

If it wasn't for heroics between the sticks we'd have been walloped out of sight by a far far superior side in Accrington f***ing Stanley! Look how far we've come. Get out of my club clueless and brent!!!! NOW!!!!!!!

Knecht and sammy clappy see themselves as AvivA missionaries trying to bring the aviva/speccy is god religion to the pagans on ATD, what these intellectuals don't or won't understand is only a decent team and results on the pitch will do that.

I really, really don't think James Brent is God by the way. Nor do I encourage you to adapt an "Aviva" lifestyle, I think it's perfectly natural and wholesome that people support PAFC or any other football club however they like.

Quite how I'm supposed to evangelise either of those principles to you by repeatedly denying them is anyone's guess but I'm sure you'll manage somehow. The only thing I evangelise for is independent thinking and respect for others opinions. It'd be quite nice if one or two ever considered the possibility that you may not always be 100% right but life isn't perfect.

But the phrase "a man sees what he wants to see" was coined for sufferedsince96. I suspect he will never be convinced by reasoned argument. Some fall on stony ground etc.....

It's time to come clean, now that Tring & sufferedsince96 have sussed me out.

I have met Mr Newell. I have looked into his eyes and I have judged him to be a man of honour. He was empowered by Mr Brent to offer me the position as the club's official representative on the PASB. Apparently he liked the cut of my jib from the moment he attended one of the Cherry Tree Cabals. With this comes not just the offer of a car-parking space but actually the loan of a club car. It's what I have always wanted.

I must also tell you that my mother's maiden name was "Webb". Need I say more?
