| Just got home from Ex*ter, decent day out.
Decided to go by coach as I couldn't be bothered with the trains and the walk etc etc. 5 coaches received a very heavy police escort from exeter racecourse to the ground, slightly awkward considering I didn't see a single scum fan until we pulled up to the ground. Got in nice and early to secure a good place behind the goal, well, not exactly good, just the least awful. Away end filled up quickly and was crowded although some atmosphere was actually being created for once.
We started the game with a good tempo and worked the ball forward, keeping possession but there was little penetration, Mosesley was trying the hardest and Griffiths was non existent, when asked to do something, he simply backed away from the ball, very poor. Exeter always looked a threat on the counter attack and they made that pay, a joint mistake between Baz and Hourihane allowed the city winger to charge forward and drill his effort in to the corner, not a happy away end that's for sure. Mosesley worked our best chance of the first half but his volley was easily saved. A poor first half for Argyle in which we never looked like scoring a goal.
At half time, Gurrieri was replaced by Robbie Williams pushing Baz to the wing and Young just behind Griffiths. Within minutes Williams lack of fitness showed and his terrible back header have Curreton a 1 on 1 with Gilmartin but Curreton managed to put it high and wide. We slowly started to work our way back in to the game and Hourihane's shot was charged down as Argyle applied pressure with a number of corners, Purse's header going just wide of the post. The best decision fletcher has made this season came soon after, Chadders came on for Hourihane and Feeney came on for the awful Griffiths. Immediately we looked a different side because we had two upfront and we applied a lot of pressure, Feeney first touch was to power his way in to the box and send the ball just over and wide, chadwick and feeno were combining very well. Our goal then came, a run inside from Joe Lennox opened up some space and his brilliant curling effort found the post and the net, silencing the big bank and sending the away end in to raptures of joy, finally the whole stand was singing. We continued to pile forward at this point and were unlucky with a number of crosses. Exeter begun to take a bit more control, a header from a corner was well saved by Gilmartin, Curreton was again put through on goal but he put his effort wide. 5 minutes added time, oh no. In the dying moments Blanchard 'took 1 for the team' as he made a challenge which prevented the city player from bearing down on goal and got a red. The resulting free kick gave city a free header but it was wide, and that was the end of that.
A pleased away end at the final whistle.
Gilmartin - 7 Nelson - 6 Purse - 8 Blanchard - 7 Bhasera - 6 Young - 6 Hourihane - 5 Mosesley - 7 Lennox - 8 Gurrieri - 6 Griffiths - 2
Williams - 5 Feeney - 7 Chadders - 7 |

He has played 2 games since being listed, his two best games off the season without a single mistake in either, he really shouldn't be on that list. LIST GRIFFITHS |

| We were far the better team for about 20 minutes in the first half. Agree about Griffiths but he should be supported by another striker to judge him fairly. Moseley was good and Guerriri shouldnt have been subbed imo. Blanchard is a wanker. |

| Perhaps I'm just grumpy and old fashioned, but I don't think it does the original poster any favours by calling Exeter 'scum city'.
The city is called Exeter, as is the football club. There are decent people there, there are decent supporters there, one or two post on here.
Respect for other people costs nothing.
End of very short and mild rant.

| I think Cobi has the makings to replace Tyhee Slim one day (just hope doesn't get banned by Kat Slater aka pilgrim_pete in future) but he does need to be able to type 'Exeter' and realise playing Exeter in a league match is a punishment for being crap. |

He was never very good, that 20 minute cameo was it. He has been awful, lazy, weak, immobile. |

| Considering exeter chanted 'scum scum scum' at us for 90 minutes, I don't see the issue. |

| Fair play to them. They support their local side instead of being glory hunting fuckwit Man U/Chelsea fans. Much rather sit down and chat with a City fan than some dick head whose experience of football is sitting in the pub in front a big TV

| Real fans, real friends. Webby will be so proud and Nool will be cracking one off with one hand twattering his pleasure at the scenes.
Didn't spot the pork pie. Maybe he drove James and doesn't relish the pre match atmosphere these days? |

| Of course. I'd forgotten about all the nasty shit he's said and done to city fans over the years. He probably went incognito, if you can make a cnut look anything other than a cnut.
There was probably a bounty on him from his exeweb friends. What was it? Over 10000 posts on there. All just friendly banter of course, from the man who hates online forums. |

Please don't tell me that was today. Baseball caps? No-one wears a baseball cap anymore. I even saw some Aquascutum! Surely this vid was was from 2001. Argo - the club that time forgot. |
