You are very lucky, sparrows are now comparitively rare. I put up a colonial nest box which has been occupied by bluetits. Believe sparrow numbers are being reduced by all the UPVC soffits and weatherboards leaving them nowhere to nest. |

| My lot roost in a Hawthorn at the top of the garden and make nuisances of themselves all day. |

| My cat has elected herself head steward . She has a zero tolerance policy. Very few wrens left standing in my garden. |

| Hi everybody
I only have one story involving sparrows but I shall endeavour to bring this thread back on topic.
I have a nest of sparrows in my garden but last year 2 of them fell out of the nest. My labrador tried to rescue them and was very gentle with them, but they died of shock in his mouth. Which is understandable, but unfortunate. |

| Going to heaven in a Labrador's mouth, if that isn't off topic I don't know what is. |
