The whole response was that of frightened rabbits. The only way to take on these bullies is to say no. No maybes, nof ifs, just no. If all the staff and players had refused, like some actually did, what would Ridsdale, Guilfoyle and these bidders have done ? sacked everone ? ... I don't think so, especially when they had players on their books worth a bit on the market.
A monthly wage bill would have sorted these bidders and administrators out in an instant, and left them with nowhere to go. If they had done so, it appears brent would have paid them all up to date. And while we don't know for sure, who's to say these staff weren't all primed by Ridsdale and Stapleton to colapse in a quivering heap prior to the actual administration.
