Today's job cuts just go to show that Brent will not see the club in trouble financially. Well done Mr Brent. Shame for the people involved and I hope they manage to have a nice Xmas but for clubs supporters it can only be a good sign

You should have stood for the PASB Rob, it was made for you. Very Happy
How come Harry and his colleagues didn't follow this business theory at Citibank ?

He continues to employ the shittest manager fooball has ever seen and continues to pay substandard players in a massively overbloated team of crap. If savings are required I'd start with the 'manager' and those 'players'.

BRENT OUT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So someone who has underestimated the average gate by over 2000, according to the club president, has the club in good hands? Seems a pretty feckin big cock-up to make if you ask me.

In better news, a firework display arranged to celebrate James Brent's first anniversary as the owner of Plymouth Argyle, has gone ahead. It was an invite only event arranged by his advisors:

They really thought people were going to turn up in droves paying £20 to watch chadwick and feeney huffing and puffing against fleetwood. They must think we're stupid.

And therein lies the problem.

We're only two players away from a good team you know.

The transition from professional football club to amateur is bang on target.

This time last year, we had a (nearly) united fanbase and staff desperate for better times after a turbulent couple of years. Mr Brent admitted no interest in football - so the first thing he should have done was to involve the fans who had supported him and appoint someone with footballing nous to pull the long-suffering staff together.

Instead, he unsettled the Trust by plucking its Chair, and is still looking for the elusive experienced assistance the club had been crying out for.

Yes, maybe the staff could have performed better - but who is leading them? When he takes over other failing businesses does he leave it to hotel porters and shop assistants to get the ship back on track? I think not.
