| My afternoon was a thing of joy. For starters I went to the cheeseshop in Tavistock and got some weird cheeses and then I bought a bottle of Lactisol and delivered it to my Mum. |

| I have spent the afternoon doing some jobs round the house and working on here behind the scenes drinking lots of tea! _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | I went for a walk on the beach and ate some dabs (apparently the most abundant fish off our shores and entirely sustainable) for the first time and they were delicious. |

| I sat on my fat arse, whilst wifey kindly volunteered to walk the fur-ball, watched football, drank beer and played with my D700. |

| Went to Comet at Marsh Mills to see if they had any bargains in the Washing Machine Department. They did, but won't deliver any more and I'm fecked if I'm lugging a washing machine into my flat on my own. Went to Currys next door to Comet, found a bigger bargain in the Washing Machine dept. It's being delivered on Wednesday, and they're taking the old knackered one away with them, Right result.
When I got home I watched Northampton Saints v Leicester Tigers on the tellybox, then had a right laugh at the Torquay and Exeter results. |

Would that be the cheese shop just behind the market? Not a cheese lover myself but i've been in there to buy cheese for someone else-certainly can't forget the rather distinctive smell of the place.Great little street though, some very individual type shops, good to see a bit of variety. Played golf in Tavvy this afternoon,as per usual.Bleddy nuisance again next saturday-Argyle at home but there's a tournament on at my club,i'll just have to take an early tee time. Why can't Argyle look at our clubs fixture list before the season? Come on Brent, sort it out! |

| A full, diverse & quite annoying day (in parts).
Last day of wife & boys visiting me today. Saw Horrible Histories in the delightful Garrick Theatre this morning (as per Peggy's note, I've already reported in on the rightful thread).
Had a Starbucks for lunch (next to Saville Row).
Took the family to Paddington to say cheerio. I can't bear that station (Dad joke #391).
Then walked all the way to Camden Lock from my flat to replace a Wolflike hat & gloves combo (the good one with claws) on behalf of the departed Boy 2 who had become very distressed earlier when one of said Wolflike hat & gloves combo's eyes fell out (it having only been bought yesterday after many hours of pocket-money-spending deliberation).
Five miles there & back - how's that for paternal love? And they locked the gates on the towpath coming back so I had to go the longer way around through a number of housing estates where I became slightly frightened & considered wearing Wolflike hat & glove combo to: a) hide my headphones, & b) look like I might be a scary doo-lally sort.
Then got back, drank cider & ate Haribo Pinballs (currently on offer in Tescos at £1 per bag) whilst watching Star Trek (the next generation) (on tape) (part two of the Klingon Civil War one). |

| Been a very un-busy week for me after recovering from an operation last week, but today was the first time I have been out in 10 days, a very rain soaked stroll around central park. |

| Played football against Waterlooville (who are top of the league and have won every game).
Wing back, was playing quite well before some fat jerk decided to lunge in and land on my toe after about an hour. We were 1-0 down at the time. Similarly to my toenail, I came off (will attempt to take a pic when I take the bandage off).
Having matched them for another 15 mins or so, they got a second and then the floodgates opened and they won 6-0. Ouch. They were the better team but not by that margin, but they put us to the sword when we opened up towards the end. My toe still hurts. |
