| A 1-0 defeat that could and should have been 5-0.
Back to reality. |

| Agreed, a friend that was there today said we should have lost 4-0.
Just not good enough, Quite sad really.

| We lost 1 - 0 away from home against one of the sides who are there or thereabouts a promotion place - and will be at the end of the season. |

| So, we're not good enough, then. Hardly a surprise. I feel sorry for the players. It sounds as if something has improved from the depths of last season, but the records show when we were playing the bottom teams recently, under strength teams, and lower league friendlies, we're a winning team, and when we play anything like an average full strength L2 team, we struggle and invariably lose out.
Not much more to be said really, apart from Lowry's first real appearance striking out one of the seaon long excuses for not doing it on the pitch. So much for the cavalry. |

The thing is Fletch is getting us playing Brazil-esque football and while it looks lovely and get's Newell moist on twitter it won't get us out of this divison. Luggy got us up playing ugly but very effective football. |

| That IJN gets moist about everything Argyle, bar the Fans' Trust .... for some strange illogical reason. I don't pay any attention to that poster's thoughts on football, nor the manager's. Some people connected to the club have a vested interest in talking nonsense. |

| I think we've had two performances this season that could be classed as 'very good'. One against an awful Barnet side, and an admittedly excellent showing against Rochdale.
I think those results, coupled with a decent enough effort at Cheltenham, had tended to get a few people a bit carried away. A sparkling performance by Jake Cole prevented us from being dead and buried by half-time today. A 1-0 defeat sounded like it flattered us massively.
We badly need 3 pts against Burton now, because if things go to form, we'll be right down amongst the dead men after the Gillingham, Fleetword and Bradford games that follow.

Luggy got us up playing ugly but very effective football. Don't think it matters what style of football is played as long as the players are good enough.Swindon and Crewe were both good footballing sides last year and went up,Shrewsbury were possibly a bit more long ball team. There was a massive contrast in styles when Argyle and Luton were promoted from this division in 2002,the common factor was that both teams had players who were more than capable of coping with the standard that applied at the time and indeed beyond.Agree though that no matter how many passes are strung together, totally irrelevant if basic jobs aren't done in either penalty area or in the midfield battle. |
