| Plenty of squid around the Sound right now (not so much cuttlefish though), if anyone fancies a bit of easy fishing for a tasty reward! |

Catching them at night Iggy, using a squid jig from the shore rather than off the boat. Loads around right now, caught 27lb in weight last night. Think I'm turning into a squid now with the amount I've eaten, hoping it will make great conger bait aswell. You should give it a crack, great fun on light gear! |

| I've got a small boat I might give that a go one evening, where are you fishing from, Mountbatten? You don't have to answer that, well known mark will do. |

| And last night I caught my very first Squid, using a jig! Lost another one and had a couple of takes but everybody was saying how dead it was. Really beautiful animal when fresh out of the water the colours were amazing, good size, about a foot and a half long with tentacles. Stir fry Calamri for supper, Asian style. Thanks for the tip matey. |

| Glad you got one, as it has certainly gone quiet and I fear they are on their way out now. I saw 90 landed between 5 people on Monday night, then only 5 or so between over 20+ people on the next 2 nights Hey ho, it was good whilst it lasted, will just have to wait for the Spring run now and in the meantime hope for a good winter with the cod on the river. Enjoy your supper! |

| I was in Budliegh Salterton on Tuesday, lovely day, a bloke was fishing off the shingle beach and was catching a few doggies and some pretty decent Mackerel, he said he'd never known them there that late before. He was after Bass and reckoned that several had been caught that week. |

| I did get the boat out along the Lhyner a couple of weeks ago and caught five school bass to about half a pound. Forgot to post report. Yesterday I launched the boat at higher ferry slip in Dartmouth and went out to about a mile from Start Point and caught ten decent Mackerel, the first of the year, on feathers in the tide race. It was close to low tide and bright as anything and the fish were a bit thin on the ground but when I found a shoal I soon had supper. I stopped fishing as soon as I had my ten as we were camping and could only use what we cooked that evening but what a lovely trip. I was on my own so only stayed out an hour or two but I shall deffo launch there again what a lovely river the Dart is. Coming back in on the tide was fun with pissed up yachties and day boaters everywhere because of the music festival it was like driving in Paris! |

| As Ted would say, "tight lines." ted Tuckerman does a recorded fishing report on Palm FM every Friday, it's useful to know what fish are about, will deffo have a hook up end of June. |

Fortescue? Let us know when. We'll have a FFS, POI, Iggy and big-tits evening. Perhaps drag a few more ATDers along? |
