After the first half debacle on Saturday when the team went off one nil down to a chorus of boos from the Devonport, in where I was sitting. I did something I have never done before, I spent the majority of the second half watching the game at the Argyle arms watching the action on the screen with a few other disaffected souls, whilst quaffing an excellent pint of real ale (yes real ale at a football ground) namely Tribute at £3 a pint. I quite enjoyed the experience watching the moves and popping my head around to look down the tunnel to watch the ball actually going in the net. Have to say when Nelson scored I thought I must of had too much of the loopy juice!. Three Argyle goals - Feeney and Nelson scoring, whats is going on?. Anyway just like to say excellent quality beer at a good price, well done Argyle!. Just need to get it out to the other parts of the ground. Razz

I'd have liked to do the same myself on many occasions in the past few years but the Lyndy bars have always stopped selling alcohol as soon as the whistle went for the second half. Are you saying the new pubs continue serving beer whilst the game is on? I thought that was against the ground regs.

Well, are you going to watch Albion now? Nice pint - wasnt old enough to partake in the old kiosks of the old Lyndhurst many years ago, so let's keep it up Mr Brent.

The Tribute was very good but when I took it to my seat and put it on the ground between my feet, I spoiled it a bit when I bit into my pasty. A big lump of crumbs dropped into said pint. Never mind, the pasty was pretty good too.

Ok we played 45 mins of improved passing play during the second half, and scored three goals after an abysmal first half performance. We won and of course I celebrate that, but for me it was'nt convincing enough. After three seasons of watching sub standard football , I personally need a break, so will be coming down to watch Albion and get my football fix at Plainmoor for a few games, and come back to HP later in the year - regardless of Argyle's league position. Will be interesting to see how the crowds hold up (excepting the devon derbies) but I think they will gradually decline. I don't like the way the club is run or organised currently and I despair at the short sightedness of it all. Nothing against Fletcher at all but I feel dismayed at the way he was given the job on a permanent basis, and like many others have little faith in his potential to turn it around. After all the years of support I have given alongside a great fanbase, I feel I have finally been turned off. I genuinely believe Brent is taking our amazing support for granted. But the beer is good.

Know how you feel mate, I had a season ticket for a decade until the disaterous Luggy reincarnation 2 seasons ago. I'm only turning up when it suits me now but hell, that Tribute is mighty tempting. Good luck!
