| I see that he's thrown £6500 to finance the under 16s and under 18s. Is there anything he isn't paying for at the moment? From the staff fund to planes to this (and Kilimanjaro). Must be seriously minted an Argyle luckily are the subject of his largesse. James Brent must be a bit embarrassed especially the youth teams being subject to charity (Kevin Hodges bike ride included). |

| Has he made a public appearance yet, or been formally identified?
With the company he's keeping, it can only be a matter of time. Newell can't keep anything to himself when it comes to an opportunity to brag, so expect nikkk to be paraded at a forthcoming fanfest before too long.
You'd think something like this would embarrass someone of Brents wealth, but he's shown that from his absolute bottom-dollar offer to the Administrators, to his begging for volunteers to stuff envelopes, that when it comes to cash, he has no shame.
Once a banker...

Agreed. I was just about to post something very similar. Nikkk is obviously rolling in money (I hope he is donating money to other far more deserving causes) but you really can't question his commitment to Argyle. He should be praised. I really hope that Mr Brent &/or his family is making similar charitable donations - to Argyle and to other causes - as well as having a hard-nosed business approach. I'd still be interested if he expects to make more money from his investment in the club than he puts in. As I'm typing, the image comes to mind of this sketch. |

There's a toughie! But I am fairly sure he isn't. I wish he was. |

| Nikkk is a short title for Police Station. They have had a clear out of the exhibits cabinet, sold all the cocaine and donated it to the charity that is Argyle. This is a redemption moment for them for fitting up greenjock and getting him banned for 3 years previously. |

| I'd love it if it was Dan McAuley,
Nikkkkkkkk's just spent £1000 on a signed shirt... again.
It's mental. |

| He's got to have subsidised Brent to the tune of tens of thousands of £££'s so far, without a second thought, so we're looking at someone that obviously falls in to the multi-millionaire bracket. How many multi-millionaire Argyle fans that don't think Ian Newell's an utter knob, are there out there? That can't be a huge list, surely? Hey, maybe Tony could investigate?? |

It's mental. Not only is it mental, it's also rendered the auctions completely pointless. Now, if a bloke - whoever he may be - wants to spend thousands on the stuff that Newell puts up for auction, that's his lookout. But does he not stop to think that there are plenty of fans on pasoti who'd love to own some of the stuff that's put up for auction, but they all know that they haven't got a chance of winning. If Nikkk is such a philanthropist why not hand some of the items back for 'ordinary' fans to bid on? When Newell first started the auctions back during the admin period, I was lucky enough to win a couple - a signed ball and a matchday sponsorship package. Both, in their own way, truly memorable and treasured items. If those items went under the hammer now, I wouldn't even bother, because I know I don't have the finances to compete with our mystery benefactor. And that, perhaps more than anything else, is what gets to me about these auctions. |

| A big thank you to Nikkk.
However... This situation cannot continue much longer. It cannot become the 'norm'. It is just not healthy for the club!
Or to be honest, for Pasoti as an 'independant' website.
You just know that it is all going to end in tears.... |

| It's not an auction and has never been an auction, I see it just as some sort of bizarre publicity stunt where Newell gets credit and a car park space for typing a few sentences on a football forum message board. |

| IMO Nikk is above criticism for his actions, as Droly said lots of stuff has been passed up and given away (what would you do with it all otherwise ). I just hope it's all tax deductable. All in all a strange business though. |
