I did laugh at the head of compliance late last night, ploughing a lone furrow. Comical Ali would have been soooo proud |

| There was bound to be a period of love-in for Brent as there always is for any new owner of a club. Well maybe not always but nearly all anyway. Last season, given the start we had, was a backs to the wall fight and plenty of people could not see past survival in the football league. In itself that is perhaps quite understandable. However, any honeymoon period ended when the season ended and the incoming squad was seen to be poor or at least thought to be poor.
I don't think Brent has anymore honeymoon period except by the real diehard anything is ok people. He will be judged now on where the team are in the league. If we were winning and playing badly then people would be more forgiving but to be losing and playing badly will not endear him to many. I don't think his tenure at Argyle has anything to do with outside interests or deals. Fans will judge him on the side's success or failure on the pitch. I would suggest the natives are already restless and this will only get more so if things continue as they are. How he responds will be the litmus test when only failure becomes more obvious to even the least knowledgable football person. |
