He's good but how many seasons has he picked up long term injuries? And with one year left on his contract, and no re-sale value at 29, £24m is a good price.

It's been a while since he got injured! Great player but not sure he fits into Uniteds team as easily as people think.

If him and Rooney do click though, they will be virtually unstoppable.

The book "Soccernomics" (the new edition) is a good read. It talks about how Wenger trades. He's following his usual practice.

Good start last night...I did have to chortle at their lack of options in defence compared to their mass of choice up front...If Fletcher had overstocked so badly in any one position like that we'd be slating him. (Though you could argue he's overstocked badly in every position, I guess).
