Probably true Tringy but most close seasons someone turns up at the club , gets taken on and makes a good name for themselves. Ofcourse it could be Paris, but it could be a Spaniard.

Mmmmm. If he was any good would he really need to travel from Spain for a trial at a skint and struggling L2 club? I think the saying "nothing to see here" applies.

Well Romain Larrieu and David Friio travelled from southern France to a skint and struggling L2 club, and they turned out ok.

Yes,i think they were.Friio certainly made his debut in the mid season derby match at Exeter in Sturrock's first season.I think Larrieu made his debut in a Paint trophy match or whatever it was called,maybe they did have a trial first but it certainly wasn't in pre season.In fact,can anyone remember any player of the pre season trial nature ever being a success at HP? I think Arnesen was but can't think of any others.
