Even the lyric (singular) is poignant, and the haunting start and the way the tune builds will guarantee floods of tears -
Turn it up loud!

I hope to curl my toes up at a ripe old age and mawkish pop tunes seem somewhat inappropriate so I intend to shuffle of after a lifelong seamans existence to the old standard hyms :-
Eternal father strong to save &
Will your anchor hold
and avoid "Sailing" like the plague!
That said my 13 year old nephew departed his secular celebration, after suffering greatly with cerebal palsy, to "Here comes the sun" and I can't ever remain dry eyed when it comes on the wireless.

As I said yesterday, mine is Shipbuilding by Elvis Costello. I didn't realise it was about the Falklands War until I searched for the video on Youtube. I just think it's beautiful and emotional.

If no-one can find a copy of this, not hard as it's on my I-pod and I have it on CD, then I would like this;

Funnily enough, one of the things in my will that I'm very specific about are the tunes that I want played at my Leaving Do.
In no particular order:

Saltash green is only showing concern an doesn't know why you are getting so touchy about the situation.
Saltash green will continue to raise concern as and where he feels it's needed

This thread could of course be renamed "Tunes you want to listen to just before having an operation", just in case like.

For my funeral, I'm having three songs.
You're A Lady by Peter Skellern.
These Boots are Made for Walking by Nancy Sinatra.
And then, as the coffin disappears into the flames, The Clapping Song by Shirley Ellis.
