Two very good players for League 2, and will be on decent wages. They have both just priced themselves out of deals with their former clubs.

Johnson and Huddersfield couldn't agree on a deal for him to stay, which almost certainly means they would have retained him in the Championship but on a reduced wage from what he was on last season, especially if we weren't contributing anything towards them.

The fact that they had offered him a new deal in the CCC shows that he will be a very good player in League 2.

Arnason wanted to leave Aberdeen after having a good season, and turned down a new contract because he was sure that a better offer would come along. Aberdeen signed a replacement for him and when Arnason went back cap in hand to Craig Brown to say he had changed his mind about a new deal, Brown offered him less than half of what he was originally offered Razz

Arnason would still be useful in this league, and both signings show ambition........ insert your own ending to this paragraph!

I know Fleetwood have some money behind them. Seems like that might also be the case with Rotherham. Arnason should be a great signing at this level.

If the Millers are throwing money around then it might be we can't afford to pay what they are paying. Alternatively, as we are already well stocked for central defenders, and have Wotton and Walton as defensive midfielders, it may be the case that there simply isn't room for another player like Arnason in the squad, and so there was no point us going in for him. Certainly I'd rather that any room we have left on the wage bill is allocated towards more attacking players than Arnason.

Does that mean we might see Arnason's father-in-law watching his son-in-law when we play Rotherham this coming season.......and would he get police protection......surely he wouldn't be that stupid.....or maybe he would.....his judgement was rather lacking in the latter stages.

You think they are tethered in a safe place and they just chew through the rope and cause trouble.
