Hello everyone!

I have only been present on this site for a short time and I don't post much. I will be back in Plymouth on the 9-10 June, the latter date being my Dad's birthday party. So basically Sat 9th June (or maybe even Fri 8th) I would be up for a pint with any of the regulars from this site. I have been given to understand that a thoroughly evil coven/cabal/group of people who get on well drink at the Cherry Tree. If any of you happen to be around at that time, it could be fun to have a drink together. I should explain that in all honesty, although from the city, I'm not necessarily a PAFC fan. I was slightly put off by the casual racism and the prices in the mid-1990s; preferring instead to follow Saltash Utd in the Jewson SWL. Well, anyway, with that explained I would really like to meet up with some of the people who are here. Let's be frank here, it would make a nice change to hang out with some left-leaning Plymouth folk for a change.

It seems very impolite to say this, specifying some posters and not others, but off the top of my head I would love to have a pint with Greenjock (but I know he lives way up north!), Peggy, mouldyoldgoat or Andy Symons (Hey Andy, the communist symbol gives you away!). I have read on ATD that there is a group of malfaiteurs who meet up in the Cherry Tree - without conspiracy theories, I would never have known...

Anyway it's a serious offer, could be fun or at worst less boring than the telly...

Would love to as well Charleymouse, but I wouldn't be able to make that date unfortunately. I must admit that the suggestion that anything covert goes on at the Freak Meets in The Cherry Tree is really funny and I would be up for attending if I could make it.

I did suggest meeting up in Taunton pre-season to take in some cricket, but thst idea seems to have gone by the wayside. I'm still planning to take in a game or two at Taunton this summer if anyone is interested, and I would love to meet up with anyone that can make it for a few beers and a natter, and hopefully next season I'll make it along to The Cherry Tree before a home game.

Anyone with a sense of humour is welcome to stay with us if they can get a cheap flight. Wouldn't recommend the summer, far too hot but from mid September til mid December it is warm and nearly always sunny and bargain flights can be obtained.

ps I'm not as far left as I used to be. Tends to happen that way with experience

Could well be around that weekend, but it doesn't have to be the Cherry Tree. In fact, and to be brutally honest, I'd rather go to a nice pub
