From around the grounds this weekend:

New Zealand seamer Andre Adams completed a 10-wicket haul as Nottinghamshire condemned County Champions Lancashire to their third defeat of the season with a 185-run victory at Old Trafford.

Joe Denly struck an accomplished maiden hundred for Middlesex to give them the upper hand on the penultimate day of their LV= County Championship Division One match against Worcestershire at Lord’s.

Seamer David Willey took five wickets as Northamptonshire claimed their first LV= County Championship win of the season by beating Hampshire.

Steven Patterson claimed career-best match figures of 8-94 as Yorkshire overcame strong resistance from Leicestershire opener Matt Boyce to register their first victory of the season by an innings and 22 runs.

Seamer Charl Willoughby took 4-33 but Essex had to settle for a draw on the final day of their LV= County Championship Division Two clash against Glamorgan at the SWALEC Stadium.

Hamish Marshall followed up compatriot Kane Williamson’s good work as an outstanding rearguard ensured Gloucestershire escaped from their LV= County Championship match against Derbyshire with an unlikely draw.

Andre Adams claimed match figures of 10-50 as Nottinghamshire secured their third win of the LV= County Championship season by wrapping up a 185-run victory over Lancashire at Old Trafford.

Keith Barker led the way as Warwickshire continued their excellent start to the LV= County Championship season with a nine-wicket success over Durham.

What do you think has caused Lancashire's poor start to the defence of their title Cerbs?

Difficult to pin it down to any one thing. Certainly a batting collapse against Notts didn't help. However in this last match they were up against a strong team who have all scored first class centuries.

Sorry, been away all afternoon, watching Yorkshire/Kent on Sky. Fairly mundane stuff for the two side that struggled last year.

Actually, that's total bollox, I've been fitting an alternator to a Peugeot 407

If Key gets them off to a decent start then 176 should be an easy enough target.

Only one ironic reference to Pasoti in this thread before you turned up Oscar Braidie, draw your own conclusions. Well, try, but don't overheat your brain...
