| Well, I've changed it back. This thread is the Co-op report ... the thread is useful and real ... we all need a Co-op now and again, and I'm a member of the Kwop and proud of it, not some sadly washed up abused Supporters' Trust. Any Trust related references don't belong here. Why the thread was changed to 'Richard Blight', I have no idea, I can see no obvious evidence of poking about, short of Mock's account changing the original name. Frank hasn't changed it, I haven't, and no moderator has. It will be interesting if any more strange occurences happen. The whole world revolves around passwords. |

| I to am a proud member of the Co-Op but am very sad to see the demise of Derrys and Co-Op furniture and electricals. |

| There's not many things I love in retail, but the Co-op comes close. It makes me laugh, it makes me cry, the queues are horendous, the prices are very corner shop. But now I've seen the prices Tesco charge in their smaller outlets, I can see the Co-op is doing ok. I once tried to buy a hot water bottle at derrys a few Autumns ago..... silly me... I should have known better. Now that I know what shops are out there, and here a quick thumbs up for Wilkinsons, the new sixpenny Woolworths that have virtually everything, the Co-op is my kind of shop. I even like their new hot food displays, they even do veggie pastries for a £1..... I would like to see Argyle try that one. |

| The Co-oP have a policy of pricing to compete with outlets nearby. Thus one near Tescos will be cheaper than one where there is little competition. The Policy is better quality at the same price or equal quality at a cheaper price. |

It will be interesting if any more strange occurences happen. The whole world revolves around passwords. I think I did it on me phone, it automatically fills in some fields, ya see, and as "Richard Blight" was the last search I did on porntube.net it filled it in above me message when I posted in here. It shouldn't normally change the title of the whole thread tho so MAYBS that's a LOOPHOLE which could be looked inter? |

How would you feel as a wicker woman in rude health, standing alone and proud in the fields .... and all of a sudden .... woooshhhh ! a concrete disaster envelopes you ... and how does she now sleep at night with all those lights ?. There was me thinking it was a wicker man standing there so now its been, emasculated by Morrisons ! So what fate is in store for the camel down the road ? |

| I bet the Woodwards were supporters of the Co-op, although I must be careful here for certain reasons, I don't think there is a Co-op in Calstock to speak of. |

| There is a Co-op in Callington but that appears under threat because of the recently opened Tesco on the edge of town. |

There's definitely a co-op in Bere Alston and they've taken over the old Somerfields supermarket in Tavvy. Not sure if there's one in Gunnislake, don't think so,almost certainly not in Calstock. |

| One in Bere Alston. None in Gunnislake. None in Calstock. One in Callington. One in Tavvy.
Can i be honest? At the risk of being banned, called names or edited? .... I don't like the Co-op. I've tried to. I really have. I ought to like them. But ......... I don't. |

| Is that since they stopped giving stamps on their funeral service ? Biggest farmers in the country with many original green and organic initiatives. Biggest and oldest food retailers in the country They slip into a community, not dominate it. Have a very progressive employment policy. Fought off a coup from the Wholesale new boys wanting to Tescoise it. Not a capitalist in sight. Sometimes a business is there for the staff as well as the customers and shareholders. Life is a two way street. I accept their corny faults for the Mutual part they play in the community. |

I know, I know .... hangs head in shame. I think I was put off by the Co-op next to where I last worked in The Midlands. The floor was grotty and always full of trolleys, empty boxes and gossiping staff. And the service was worse than bad! I couldn't bear it. I have car, house, contents and breakdown insurance with them. Plus my electricity. Stamps! Pah! I do miss the little machines on top of the till. You used to give them your mum's co-op number (I can still remember it) and they would input it by hand by sliding little levers. You would then get your divi from time to time. We knew how to get our entertainment in them days. |

| Popped into Sparksy's favourite Co-op today .... Salisbury Road. It didn't feel like Christmas at all, as there's always a massive queue all year around. The manager needs to sort his off licence out. I get fed up saying 'excuse me' ten times just to be able to grab a bottle or some beers.. Good cheap hot veggie wraps for sale though from their recently installed warming cabinet.... well done the Co-op. |

| Had to post this, my lovely sister has just posted this on a popular social networking site.
"Popped in the co-op on Mutley yesterday to pick up some muesli for my mum. Imagine my delight when I found someone had done a big steaming poo in the cereal aisle! Then imagine the face of the young man stacking shelves round the corner who I had the pleasure to inform. While I waited at the tills I noticed another pile by the checkout! How had someone managed to stand and pay for their shopping and do an unnoticed poo at the same time?! Be afraid people, this person lives amongst us and could strike at any time...." _______________________________________ COYG!

| I went to two Cwops yesterday in the space of around 20 minutes.
One was in Somerset and the other in Wiltshire.
How cosmopolitan. |

| I did NOT get a dividend this year.
That is the END of my BRIEF flirtation with the 'Members' scheme, and the START of my no-doubt rump-a-DUMP fling with Tescos.
I walked past the other day and spotted a nice YOUNG lady working the 5 items or less checkout.
I will ATTEMPT to woo her by taking 6 items through and making JOKES about myself living on the EDGE. |

| There's a co-op at the bottom of my road and on Sunday, a grumpy Welsh bloke with serious hygeine problems works there. I've usually run out of beer by about 1pm on a Sunday so I usually trot down there with my 4 year old under the pretence that I am being an amazing Dad and want to buy my children sweets (I'm actually just getting more beer). Last weekend, she exclaimed at the top of her voice while we were in the queue - "Urgh, something stinks in here Dad".
The Welsh bloke doesn't like me any longer.
We bought 10 cans of John Smith's for £8 and a Xmas selection box containing 6 different Cadbury products for £1.50. |

| The Tavvy kwop always prices the shelves and not the item on sale, and just to keep you on your toes they don't line up the items directly above the prices. |
