Mike Floyd rings a bell and my brother-in-law would definately know the family if Dad played for Dartmouth. Fritz was one time Manager of Dartmouth and played for them from a very young age himself. I'm not from there only served at the College in my Naval time where I met and married a local. That was 42 years ago so the wife is probably not in the age group of Dave Floyd and is why the father rings a bell.

Well it was 42 years ago I would have played down there (they played in Coronation Park right by the ferry) for Newton Spurs and got my feckin leg broken! Sad

Fritz was only 10 at that time so it wouldn't have been him although he was a big lad. He played for the senior team from about the age of 15 so a little while after you. I only remember them playing at the top of town where the football club is now and it was Rugby on Coronation park. Mind you I was young and pissed a lot of the time so the memory might not be as crystal clear as it should be.

Dartmouth United did and still do play at the top of the town at Townstall which was next door to a heliport if I recall correctly. YMRC used to play some games up that way when Coronation Park was either unfit or out of use due to the impending summer. I remember they used to change in some arches under the hill behind it.

Still that's all off topic and this is an important thread in my humble opinion.

Obviously hooliganism as we knew it then is largely a thing of the past, but could it be that with the emergence & reliance on the internet it has simply moved online & now takes a less physical form ?
Sounds like there are some very nasty people around, people that any right thinking fans wouldn't want within a hundred miles of their club. No

................and THAT I would say sums SG up to a tee. Not an organiser of violence but a grown man who just loves swaggering around to the awe of teenagers and adolescents of limited intelligence.

No wonder he's bestie mates with Nool then ? Rolling Eyes

I see Pasoti are trying to play the Data Protection exemption card. I don't think it will wash in a court of law as they are saying they only hold information on members for the membership of the site (user name and email).

So where do the sponsorships, donations, auctions etc come into it where people are giving bank details and home addresses to a Pasoti Moderator operating under the Pasoti forum? Tickets and memorabilia are also sold on the site and details passed by Private Message. Recent events have shown that the Pasoti Private message system is full of holes, and as mentioned on the newellfiles, even PL2 3DQ has accused fellow Mods of hacking pasoti users accounts and reading their PM's. The publishing of PM's is a banning offence, but Newell published (at a guess) 30 Pasoti PM's and has received no ban- so even their own rules are not adhered to.

The final piece on banned users is also false, as several people have been banned from pasoti (including several on here) without any official reason. When enquiries have been made to the pasotimods email no response is given, thus how can the 'banned' user know whether information is held on them or not, especially when they don't feature on pasoti's banned user list or are even given the dignity of a response to their enquiry.

Exempt from data protection my ass!

I hope Tony Chowell looks into this!

Hi there, joined up a few days ago and have been following this with keen interest...

I was a member of the ORIGINAL Torquay fans net site... IJN was a regular "Troller" on there as far back as 12 years or more ago...

I joined the site that SG mods on after .net closed...I left shortly afterwards when I had posts deleted by SG when I didn't toe the party line...(always denied by him)

I'm a member of a similar-minded TUFC site to this..

Just saying hello...

Welcome Merseygull, you're most welcome to join in the fun on here. Shame it looks like the play offs for you now instead of automatic promotion. Doing well on your resources and playing attractive football.

If you search back Newell (IJN) posts remain. A complete prick he was, still is and will continue to be.

Thanks, Greenjock!

Actually The Red Star, the whole archive of torquayunited.net has been secreted away.... lost forever, but IJN was a real internet animal, even in those days...

The Pseudonym thread has been moved to terraces after Babba pointed out how hypocritical newell's opening post is. A few agreed which led to posty getting in a strop and moving it off the main board.

I hope the pasoti-ites realise that any thread that doesn't toe the line is firstly moved to terraces and either undergoes mass deletion or editing and is then locked. Mass Debators!

Postey has obviously inherited the Maltese traffic wardens hat from IJN. If you never read the post from Cumbrian Green (I think) several years ago you won't have a clue what I'm talking about but it was one of the funniest things I ever read.

Yes a familiar pattern is once more emerging. As long as newell was championing his people to use their real names it was on the main board. Now the tide has started to turn and he can be seen as the arch hypocrite it is moved to Terraces and you can bet your arse before long dear old postey will announce it has run it's course, lock it and it will then disappear from the face of the earth.

In other news, ATD has added over 50 new members since Sunday. Coincidence? You be the judge....

No coincidence no. How would anybody know of the existence of this site if it wasn't for all the free publicity given to it on Pasoti. I only found out about it by seeing it mentioned on Pasoti and took a curious look and it was interesting to see things from another perspective. The escalation of Ian Newell's vitriol and manoeuvering against any dissenting voices coupled with all his other shenanigans and that of some of his comrades and even the president it would seem has obviously seen a wave of curious observers come on board. There's no publicity like free publicity. Still find it difficult to understand why the president is always on here observing like he is at present but finds it so difficult to comment or answer some very simple questions that have been asked of him.

Be careful swampy ! You'll be branded as one of the handful of freaks and weirdos on ATD. He and others are always trying to claim it's only a handful of vile scum on here, ruining what would be a 'nice little forum' !

Unfortunately his posts only go back to 2010 and my failing memory can't do justice to the humour. Basically he awarded Newell the hat for the comparision between his behaviour and that of a MTW (think tinpot dictator uniform). Nooly tried to laugh it off but it was like a sore he had to keep picking.

I had noticed Mr president and lee Jameson seem glued to atd lately, without posting anything. It's good to know that we're so popular nowadays.

I think I would be included as well now tring, it wouldn't be a bad site without jock, tring and rickler lol. Mr president wasn't impressed when I forward the Newell files to him on Twitter. He told me to grow up and that I needed help. feck knows what he's saying to Newell these days then.

I too found this site from the pseudonym thread on pasoti and read for a few days before signing up. Ijn might have thought he was being clever but shot himself in the trotter. The latest influx of members suggest that these latest incidents have served to show how crooked pasoti is and there is a viable alternative site.
