Andy Carroll scores a late goal to make it 2-1 v Everton. After all the stick he has had to put up with I have to say that I'm pleased for him. It's amazing how football throws up such things and a certain player scores a winning goal in a crucial game. I hope Liverpool lose in the final though.

Yeah me too. I had Everton eachway at 25-1 to win the Cup. Good on yer Andy Mad couldn't hit a cows ass with a banjo for 85 minutes, should've been subbed long before Razz

How can you do each way in a football bet?

Get to the final and lose and you get half the odds. I placed the bet at the start of the season, not just before todays game lol!

Half the odds? That's not bad. Everton were a good choice at a lower price than 25-1, I reckon. I'd guessed that the bet was placed some time ago. I wonder what odds you could get on Argyle being champions (promoted e/w? do you get the play-offs too?) next season right now?

Actually it was a quarter of the odds, not a half. Not sure what price Argyle would be, but you can back to win the league, you can back each-way, the different bookies will offer different each-way bets like 1st and 2nd, and maybe 3rd, but you can also bet on getting promoted which would include play-offs. If you are tempted by this, I would try and get a bet on now, in case we strenghten considerably in the pre-season which will make us much shorter.
