My point Swampy is that he isn't crap because he got injured. He was crap before then anyway. He has never peaked as he never got off being flat in the first place. If he was such a good player before his injury, one which many have gotten over and come back from, then why was he shipped out somewhere else at that time.

W&W are very similar and I agree that they are very limiting to the way we play but that is because we have settled on a 4-4-2 with them in the middle. It is all the rage these days to play with two holding midfielders and if we adopt that system then they are the ideal pair for it in this division. If we are going for a big man upfront then we need offensively minded players between him and W&W and we need overlapping full-backs too so Williams would have to go. Something like a 3 of Lennox and Hemmings out wide with Young (or preferably a Conor Clifford clone) playing in the middle might be what we need. It would mean the end of us playing two strikers though.

How about Walton to CB and Blanchard to Def Mid?

100%, absolutely sure, no doubt whatsoever great big NO from me. Blanchard is part of the reason the goals against have dried up and is fine exactly where he is. Walton should be in the boot room cleaning it and the boots and not wearing them.

Fair enough, I seem to recall a while back folks rated him quite highly as CB, was just a thought and Maxime I believe is more widely thought of as a def mid.
