Plymouth are keeping tabs on Bolton Wanderers striker Victor Adeboyejo, sources have told Football Insider.
Adeboyejo, who is in the final two years of his contract at Bolton, has started off well in pre-season with three goals in four games.
The 26-year-old scored 10 goals in 35 appearances in League One last season as Bolton reached the play-off final.
Plymouth boss Wayne Rooney is keen to bolster his attacking options before the close of the transfer window and former Barnsley man Adeboyejo is one of several forwards on his wanted list.
The Championship club may be in need of a replacement for star man Morgan Whittaker sooner rather than later.
Adeboyejo is capable of playing anywhere on the front line but was primarily used as a left-winger by Bolton last season as they fell at the final hurdle.
New Plymouth manager Rooney will be keen to make amends for his disastrous spell at Birmingham City and Adeboyejo’s versatility could prove to be a huge asset for him.
