With the England job apparently up for grabs, could this be a route back into football for our ex manager?

Not suggesting he's up for the top job but Stevie Gerrard who took him to Saudi as a coach is a possible candidate. If not Gerrard then whoever does get the job might decide that promoting coaches who worked with England age group teams to work with senior team players might be a good idea given that Foster has "successfully" coached the likes of Foden and Saka.

Given his background, I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see him sat on the sidelines by the time the next World Cup qualifiers come along

I think his catastrophic 3 months here won’t do him any favours.
