Social meeja saying Coops is off 'somewhere' for 8 Million, that's great money with a year left on his contract. BUT: He's worth a few points a season to us is he not?

Obv could all be bollocks though

It seems the rumour was started on fattys site so I’d take that with a pinch of salt …it might be believable but I think they over egged it when they said 8 million behave lol

I doubt its true atm however if we did get £8m for a guy with dodgy knees and 1 year left on his contract thats good business imo. We would struggle to get much more as clubs wont spend huge money on someone with knee issues.

i feel the club will be touting him around again to sell over the summer in order to cash in as much as possible to fund a transfer or 2 and finance that youth club.

I can believe he's off but definitely not for £8m. More like £1m-£1.5m.

Would we let Callum Burton go if we was selling Cooper and pay for another back up

burton is off that was confirmed by the wife. If Cooper does indeed move on We will more than likely look for a good backup to and provide the competition for Hazard. The youngster Zak Baker signed a new deal recently so he'll be the 3rd choice for sure while going out on loan at times.

Hazard certainly does need to work on his distribution and communication that's for sure but he showed when he played in the team that he can more than do the job as number 1.

£8million would be a very good deal.

And allow us to keep Hardie and Whittaker

Come on it would be stupid to let him go only for a couple of mill! Dodgy knees or not he's still one of the best keepers around Championship and lower leagues. Think I would be in the fans majority for keeping him if at all possible. Hazard is a good shot stopper but not as good all round.

tbh I don’t think Hazzard deserved to have been dropped he was doing alright ..just so they could put cooper back in the shop window for a 3rd time …I think we had this conversation before about the keeper situation why we had 3 keepers cooper wasn’t still meant to be still here but after the injury and there bodged attempt to bring him back to quickly to put him in the shop window to soon

Fair comment and the GK position is probably one that doesn't need to be looked as much as other areas of the pitch, it needs strengthening all over. Stating the obvious but we need about 6 more players of Championship quality to stay up, the league will be harder next season than this.

Don't expect too much. It won't be long before hallett comes out with his usual "we have by far the smallest budget in the division" statement. Just what supporters who have packed out HP every single home match for practically the past two seasons and bought Evergreens etc. want to to hear!

With massive spending Pompey, Derby and most likely Bolton coming up, agree it will be a MUCH tougher division next season.

Hard to disagree, and the cooper/whitakker transfer money will be ploughed into buying the esso garage on outland road and the central park pitch n putt.

Although we are playing to a full stadium....we are still the second lowest attendance in the League.

We need to expand the ground...or move to a new stadium with bigger attendance possibilities.

its crazy that the club refuses to see the logic of bigger attendances = more revenue on match days especially as we have a waiting list of people wanting tickets! building the corners at least should be more of a priority than the youth club at the brickfields that wont draw much revenue.

if hazard worked and improved on his distribution and communication and perhaps coming for crosses with more conviction i have no doubt he would be number one for N.Ireland now and probably would have had a good crack at being Celtic's number 1 next season as Joe Hart has retired cause i dont think they would have sold him if he didnt have his flaws which can be worked on with the right gk coach hopefully no idea if the guy who came in in jan is staying on or not. He is a very good keeper i agree with you he didnt deserve to be dropped like he was but there is no way the club would keep Cooper out of the team when they have high hopes on his sale to fund a number of things.

Had to check Pasoti to see what is going on and the (strong sounding) rumour is that he will be signing a new contract with Argo.

excellent.

This could either be the player has no intention of going anywhere and wants to stay here or the club are looking to increase his value cause the rumoured3m isnt enough for them.

whatever the reason i hope Rooney still has good championship standard players bought in for him to coach over the summer still even after the prize winning horse to pay for it all isnt being sold to stud.

That's excellent news if he's staying, was not expecting that.
