| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Rather strange that after waiting to get the "right person" [according to Dewsnip],he has only been appointed until the end of the season. No pay off should Argyle be relegated maybe? Not exactly a burning show of faith in the management/coaching if so. Plenty of experience to be fair, perhaps it's time to be less cynical and hope that the guy can help to turn the team around. Welcome and good luck. |

Welcome and good luck. i think its a case of the board realising they have a angry fanbase and are only now starting to hire personnel to try and save the sinking ship that is foster. Having him till the end of the season is smart for both parties should foster get the boot soon at least there is someone there who can assist nance and the puppet master dewsnip till the end of the season before hopefully a decent manager is hired in the summer. we desperately need a fitness coach/ head of sports science too so perhaps very soon we will see someone brought in even if it is till the end of the season. the assistant i gather is not going to be filled. |

| Seems like they're propping up foster by any means rather than sacking him like what should be done. Hallett is a massive part of the problem if he doesn't immediately sack foster at 4:50pm on Saturday after we inevitably lose to Blackburn.
FOSTER OUT NOW!!!!!!! |

FOSTER OUT NOW!!!!!!! this new guy coming in wont have any bearing on fosters future win or lose. He will still be here till the end of the season to assist the puppet master and nance which wouldnt be a bad thing bar dewsnip being in charge till the end of the season as he is no manager. |

| David Tivey joins as Physical Performance Coach until end of season - from the link wrote:
- David Tivey has this week joined Argyle as Physical Performance Coach, initially until the end of the season on a consultancy basis.
Tivey comes from excellent pedigree having spent a large period of time at the Football Association as National Team Performance Coach, working under the likes Roy Hodgson, Sam Allardyce and Gareth Southgate.
He is someone Director of Football Neil Dewsnip and Head Coach Ian Foster know well from their respective times at the FA, and he also spent time at Swansea City and Nottingham Forest under Steve Cooper. Tivey worked closely with Cooper at Forest as they clinched promotion to the Premier League.
Director of Football, Dewsnip, is delighted to secure the expertise of Tivey, on a consultancy basis, initially until the end of the season.
"David is someone Ian and I know well from our time at the FA and he has immense knowledge and expertise that will be of immediate value to Argyle," he said.
"Gareth Law and Sam Laycock have done a tremendous job in keeping the squad healthy and I want to personally thank them for their hard work in recent weeks.
"Now though is the right time to bring in someone of David's experience as we reach a pivotal stage of the season and he will also support as we look to appoint a full-time Head of Sports Science." i guess thats a fancy title for fitness coach but good news we needed one for awhile lets hope he makes the difference. |
